I loved how he took the physiological realism perceptive and made this dream-like. Excellent, truly excellent.

i honestly wouldn't consider it "flawless" but it was most definitely well done, i loved the story so this was enjoyable

This is so Kafka. Haha, and the way it cuts off at the end I find it to be a bit disturbing, like his life was cut off right there when he arrived home. Very well done, both disturbing and enjoyable to watch!

Huh. Kinda interesting, but didn't make any sense to me. I'd love to hear someone's interpretation of this. Loved the atmosphere.

I would love to see this studio create an interpretation of "The Penal Colony," another of Kafka's short stories.

I've seen Yamamura San, and he says that its Youri Norstein (not sure of spelling) that told him that his film mountain head reminded him of Kafka writings!

@rafaelb1026 Hello :) Okay; the story has an EXISTENTIAL TONE to it. The doctor sees himself as nothing special as a man, he thinks he's worthless as a regular human being with no purpose in life at all. BUT AS A DOCTOR, he sees himself as someone valuable with a purpose. He's split between his professional life(job/doctor) and his normal life (man). Advice for reading Kafka? Read a bit about the themes of Alienation, Oppression, Exclusion, and EXISTENTIALISM before reading his stories.

Well, someone has to ask, i guess it's me (although it might just be that i am the only one thoroughly confused right now), but what happened at the end?

Definitely different from all that anime junk coming from Japan, but still junk. Kafka's story is recited slavishly, but without any understanding.

@rafaelb1026 Existentialism means that people who are existentialists see life as pointless, meaningless, and believe they are born into a world of nothingness and its up to them to give their life meaning-without religion/faith or politics. That's really the point of Existentialism really--"this is it" (reality) and it is up to the individual to make meaning of it without depending on God or other factors. Read a few books on philosophy and buy a book on CRITICAL THINKING.

Too much odd animation, not enough focus on making it coherent.
