i really like hearing rin’s old voicebank but now you’ve added great tuning onto that, thank you. i’m the same with - notes tbh just want to put this at least somewhere but i kind of wish we got a rerecord/port of v2’s tone into v4. i feel like rin is missing the sound she used to have because sweet and warm sound fairly similar, not that rin’s v4 can’t sound good. i do hear this problem with len as well but i think he’s become a bit more defined by his power voicebank now. just my thots

Thanks to you! but you're right, most vocaloids kind of loose their tone with new vb updates. I guess Rin sounded a little bit more...childish back in the days, and now she sounds more mature and a little bit squeaky. But I think my least favourite update was Luka's v4 vb :( Her voice was characterized by that low pitched breathy tone with strong and clear consonants. Now she's almost unintelligible and the removed the breathness to the tone to make it sound more powerful. The ironic thing is that when I compare both voicebanks in some vsqxs I made, Luka v2 doesn't only sound better, but also even more powerful!

McKatherine i really agree with you about luka’s v4 update, but i think she’s lost almost all of her lower tones. i don’t own luka v2 or v4 but’ve heard tuning luka v4 to sound like v2 is basically impossible. i think the same sound appears in luka v4 and meika hime (and to an extent) mikoto, the two sisters have a weird equalised sound to them that luka also has which makes them sound breathy, although i’ve never tuned her. Thanks for reply to my comment, i don’t usually get to talk about the specifics of vocaloid to people. Edit: Luka v4x has a weird dry - wetness to her voice

I imagine that you'd have to play with the velocity and totally deform the default pronunciation of the phonemes in the note editing section to make her sound like the old vb, but that would only make it a little bit more similar :/ And no problem! If you want to discuss anything about this configuration things of vocaloid you are welcome (always that it's not about vocaloid as anime characters because at least the spanish vocaloid fandom is all about vocaloid ships xD)

Not even a minute and it already sounds amazing. I miss the charm the ACT series had. I always come back to listen to covers made with V2 Rin and Len specially ACT2, there's something I can't explain about them but almost every cover sounds beautiful. You really did a great job in this, she sounds emotional and suits the song really much. I'm not a lover of sad and slow songs but I enjoyed every second of it. 💛

Awwww thank you!! ^u^ I also sometimes miss the tone of the first voicebanks for the Kagamine, mainly Rin's tone (which is the one I feel changed drastically), especially on her mid-to-low range: I really, really like her newer tone, but it's in those notes that I think her old voice was stronger for almost every case...

One thing I don't like about rin v4 is that she doesn't have a native vb, same with luka, that's why I use all of their v2 voicebanks still, including miku haha

I totally agree! Although I can also use rin v4 and miku v4, Luka v4 is by far the worse. But it's true that they sound really different from their original vb, and the worst part is that almost nobody uses them nowadays :( That's why I try to use both
