Idk if you caught it or not but Mephiles’ verse was a paradox. At the beginning he says “Came back from the future to tell you the answer’s Mephiles. If you last to the end of this then I’ll ask what the question is.” Then at the end he says “When it comes to villains in the history bins, who’s the one that’s gonna leave you deep Sonic 06’d?”

Shwabadi said Chaos was the only Sonic villain besides Eggman he really knew anything about because that was one of his favorite sonic games and he hasn't played many. So he took what he knew and rolled with it. Dan is probably my favorite on here though. His opening with Eggman set the pace for all of them and he went ballistic right off the bat.

@@hokutoroblox9854 No. I generally enjoyed 06. One of the reasons being the variety of characters to play as. Especially Shadow. Any Sonic game that lets you play as as Shadow, I give a default rating of 6/10.

@@legohunter1020 I agree. though the gameplay wasn't that great. The concept was great. Even Silver who got so much hate. I mean... What was wrong with him? He was a Naïve teenager who thought he was doing the right thing until he actually learned the truth. Sonic, Shadow and Silver had their own villains in their own stories which was awesome. Sonic had Eggman, Shadow had Mephiles, and Silver had Iblis (Or Solaris, I can't remember). Sonic never even met Mephiles until he was killed. The Shadow is a given. His character arc was at it's peak then. Actually... I believe every Sonic Character was at their peak in 06. After that, their characters just went down hill like so: Sonic became the main focus for every game afterwards, Is more like a witty Spiderman than what Sonic used to be Shadow lost his resolution from 06, he just became an edgehog because his own game Silver comes out of nowhere and helps just because. They could've at least introduced him back better. They just pushed him aside in the newer games and gave him no spotlight Amy is just there to crush on Sonic, doesn't help at all Tails is a weak crybaby now, Knuckles forgot he was a treasure hunter Rouge is more... She forgot about her Spy work. Omega was made super slow in 06, he was made as a super fast combat robot Cream & Cheese are never seen anywhere anymore Blaze comes out of nowhere just to show up Where'd Espio go? Charmy is Charmy but Charmy...er. Vector shows up for money. Speaking of those three, the Chaotix are a Detective Agency. They don't do that anymore. Metal Sonic gone. Just... Gone. Big is forgotten from what I can tell. Eggman is Eggman but less Eggmany. Is that everyone? I think that's everyone.

Cam coming in as the last was probably my favorite part of this cypher next to Shwabadi's Chaos. Very close second is Zach as Metal. That being said, I still think everyone played their parts very well; we had some real clever lines from both Eggman and Mephiles for sure.

Oh, yeah, fun fact: that "Speak in a haiku" part at the beginning of Dan's verse? His first three lines were in haiku form. If that's not badass, I dunno what is. Also, the llama bar and the "Ask Shofu" line are shout-outs to Shofu's verse on Scru Face Jean's Worldwide Cypher (which Dan was also part of).

Mephiles and his weird relationship with Shadow was deadass one of the few good parts of Sonic 06' If the whole game had just revolved around them it would have been one of the best games in the franchise storywise (although, lets be real, that bar isn't very high in recent years)

I honestly believe all these Sonic Villains deserve this fire. They all look good, their concept and lore are astounding, and they all had the perfect voice for their role, HOWEVER, most/some of their execution and boss play was poor, and that's what ruined it. But it's the other reason are why I still like them.

I feel like people forget Mephiles is Solaris, look I get Mephiles is a great villain but he's a half of the Sun God, that form would never have happened if Mephiles didnt sink into Shadow's shadow but it was a different form before that iconic one and Mephiles didnt have a form, his birth when the Duke split the Sun God had him a black ooze and so wasn't that then he was sucked into the Sceptor of Darkness and we see him when released, that black trail was him because it wasn't cinematic but at the end of Shadow's Story, we see that iconic form melt into his original form. I'm not sure if everyone knows this and always knew but I'm saying this anyway because I doubt it.
