Ian Sinclair's version of the narrator is amazing. For those of you dub-dubious, give it a chance. The dub VAs do a really good job and Sinclair is fucking hilarious. "Oh my god...it's happening! *voice breaks* It's happening!" -Kaguya doesn't realize Shirogane was asking her out on a date- "OH COME ON!!!"

I think him voicing the narrator is only topped by specifically the episode in Blood Blockade Battlefront where Zapp is held hostage with a bunch of swords and one down his throat and he is just ugly crying asking for help.

I feel as though the easiest way to explain it is that while the Japanese version has the narrator portrayed as a stoic war documentary voice-over, the English version decided to portray him as an increasingly invested Sports Commentator. It was a bold and probably risky decision, but man did it ever pay off

@@Yukikaze617 So, the first actual show that they convinced me to sit and binge with them one evening was the first season of Rising of the Shield Hero, and I f*ckin loved it. Then I started browsing around for other anime to consume, and to be honest I don't care how bad a dub is I prefer it mainly because I will work while I listen and look over and watch it when I can and my Japanese isn't as fluent as it once was, lol! However, since I started getting into it, some of my absolute favorites my kids (15yo+) have recommended that I absolutely loved was stuff like Horimiya, Mob Psycho, Assassination Classroom, and of course all the current "popular ones. I loved Konosuba and other similarly comedic animes like Kaguya-sama: Love is War, Spy X Family and tons of others, too many to list here, but I tend to really like isekai anime and Romance/Comedy mostly lol! I recently binge watched the entire Inuyasha series including Final Act and the movies and I regert nothing, haha!
