I'm surprised you didn't mention how a form of the sharingan awakens when something emotionally traumatic happens. Considering Kaguya is one of the few people with the rinne sharingan, maybe her using part of Shibai Otsutsuki to get the fruit is what awakened it in her third eye when she got it. So, instead of her using someone from the main branch family to make the fruit, which changed the ability, it was the betrayal itself that awakened the sharingan in the rennigan when she got it after eating the fruit.

I imagine Shibai’s lower ranked partner had already sacrificed themselves to the ten tails, and when Shibai ate that fruit he ascended, leaving his body on Earth and ordered Ishikki to destroy his partner’s karma vessel thereby preventing their reincarnation and a rogue otsutsuki. Shibai then, as a gift to Ishikki, created a chakra fruit for Ishikki to consume after completing the task Shibai gave him. To me it seems Shibai may be the lower tier Otsusuki who possibly along with Kagyua will eventually end up assisting the humans against the higher tier and even more powerful protagonist Lord Jashin Otsusuki who will be the second to last protagonist in the series only to Lord Orochimaru who may do a surprise attack against konoha after they kill Jashin. I have very strong conviction in my first theory (Jashin) but not so much in the second theory (Orochimaru) but I do believe Orochimaru will play a huge part in defeating the Otsusuki

I think it could be either because Kaguya used a main branch member or it’s the fact earth might be different from all the other planets that grew chakra fruits. Before kaguya arrived and introduced chakra to the planet there where already sage creatures and nature energy, even if the chakara fruit wasn’t as strong as it could’ve been due to it getting the genetic makeup of earth made it different from other stronger chakara fruits

Makes sense since how you awaken your sharingan is by betrayal or a traumatic event. The act of killing the person you're subservient to could be the reason why the rinnigan awoken to a rinnisharingan. Kaguya was never a bad person. She actually loved the humans and knew it was necessary for her to use some of them as Zetsu for the greater good. She didn't capture ALL of the humans. She let a lot of them continue living and only chose certain groups to continue expanding her army. She could have turned everyone into Zetsu in one go (Madara successfully used Infinite Tsukuyomi on EVERY human except Team 7, so it is possible). Kaguya also loved her two sons and lived a human life on earth. If she returns she would definitely help Naruto and Sasuke fight back against the Otsutsuki. Also Madara can return aswell. He too was never a bad guy, even more than Kaguya. He genuinely wanted peace and peace was actually achieved after the 4th Ninja War by Naruto and the Shinobi Alliance. Madara must feel incredibly angry and betrayed that he was used as a pawn of Black Zetsu. He would be angry that his whole plan was for nothing, but since relative world peace was achieved after the war then I reckon Naruto would be able to show this peace to Madara and convince him to help fight the Otsutsuki. Remember, Madara and Hashirama once dreamed of a world where kids didn't have to die on a battlefield and Madara believed the Infinite Tsukuyomi plan would achieve this, and kids in the Boruto era not only don't need to die in wars but they also have the privilege of not needing to even be a ninja.

Family trees are huge so maybe one offshoot branch of the family tree eventually "unlocked" the part of their DNA that can manipulate bones, similar to how Indra has the Sharingan and Asura did not. Asura carried the DNA that codes the Sharingan but his body did not have the ability to awaken his own Sharingan.

I think the second ten tails is from the original ten tails. In the 4th Shinobi world war when Naruto and Sasuke made an ultra massive rasen shuriken and ameterasu they hit the ten tails. The part that was burning with the amatersu the ten tails sperated from it's body. We know that tailed beasts essentially don't ever die except with baryon mode. So somehow jigen took some of the ten tails chakra and it took some time to form a ten tails. That is what I think

They do die but reincarnate as they're living chakra. A Ten tails is just the tree in moving form which is planted by an Otsutsuki. The ten tails we see in Boruto is a completely different one from another planet and it seems it has been there quite a while.

Kaguya isn't inherently evil while the the original impression has projected that from her battle against her sons. All that she really wanted to do was to defend herself from other members of her Clan who will inflict harm to her. If need be, she may be brought back to fight against other invaders. My theory is that after Kaguya ate the "Main family godly tree" she became stronger than any otsutsuki alive at that time (Shibai aside), so they had to spend 2k years searching for more sacred trees to have any chance against her, but when they felt that she was dead (idk how, but maybe this explain the 15 years delay on their arrival after her death), they just went to earth underestimating the humans that lived there :v

Just thought, what if the ten tails we see in Boruto is the one that Kaguya and Isshiki brought with them, and the god tree, and by extension the ten tails, on Earth's, was Shibai's? His body is on earth, which was used for aida and the other kid idk his name atm. Shibai must've planted a god tree, potentially ate a fruit and ascended, leaving some remaining chakra along with his body. Earth restores itself over time and the other duo arrives, finds that there's a god tree already there, and put their ten tails somewhere else. The rest is history. There might be a few plotholes here, but feel free to mention them to me. I just spitballed this when it came to me.

It makes sense (as much sense as kishinoto makes in 2023) that shibai grew the initial tree and ascended his physical form before it fully grew. Ishiki was searching for this specific tree and when they arrived kaguya betrayed him and eats the fruit. Ishiki retreats inhabits jihen and uses the seed him and kaguya brought to create the ten tails in the Kara hideout . As far as the main branch I believe they knew kaguyas fate and believed she would let be able to escape so let her be until her resurrection. Then I think they realize there are others with the power of chakra on earth beside kaguyas children and send momo and kin to wipe them out.

I often wonder to myself if maybe.. Himawari’s power may relate to this possible theory of Kaguya being revived. Though it’s not impossible that her powers could be just a mixture of Hamura and Hagaromo’s chakra (from just Hinata and Naruto). I’m in whatever camp believes that the broken panels represent Shibai and whoever his partner may have been. I think that the partner of Shibai had to be the tree that Kaguya ate from. As it was stated that the tree had been there for ages. So, in my theory, I see Kaguya and Isshiki coming to Earth for the first time and needing to search for the God Tree, Kaguya finds it and then backstabs Isshiki. From there, the story follows as we know it. When it comes to the ten tails, it is the ten tails that Isshiki and Kaguya originally brought down. The God Tree that Kaguya ate from did not go away after she ate from it. She just fused with it in order to turn into a ten tails form.

I kind of agree with your theory except i think the tree was Shibai himself. We know he often sacrificed himself to the tree and used Karma to reincarnate. And we know Earth was his last stop because his dead body is there where Amado finds him. So it’s possible he sacrificed himself, used Karma to reincarnate, and after reincarnating he then had access to another dimension that he left his body for. So the tree that is there had his DNA for Kaguya to consume, and the body was there for Amado to steal and use. I think at some point Shibai stopped tagging along with other Otsutsuki because he become obsessed and greedy for power and started using Karma more often to be able to eat more fruit. If he had a partner, his partner would likely want to evolve too and he wouldn’t be able to with Shibai’s greedy ass there. His greed is a curse passed down to other Otsutsuki from him since they all seem to know and admire his methods and live by them.

When Boruto was starting I had assumed that Kaguya was alone because she was a part of a rebel group against the nobles. The presence of the god tree being due to the nobles trying to plant ahead of time to increase their harvest and outpace the rebels. The tree arrives by the original method of a meteor as a means to be discrete about where it is. Kaguya being alone is due to the rebels trying to maximize their efforts to find some of the scattered trees. She stays alone to reduce risk of being found out by the nobles by reducing travel around that world. As for the differences in the powers she gained, according to the wiki, Amado says the chakra fruit contains the energy and biological information of the planet, which the Ōtsutsuki use to update and evolve their species. This may imply that the sharingan and it's changes to the rinnegan are derived from the collective genetics of the host worlds lifeforms.

It could be similar to how Sarada activated her sharingan. Kaguya activated her Rinnen-Sharingan- not through loss and pain. But through love. Her desperation to make all those Zetsu was partially because she loved her children and the humans. And wanted to protect them at all cost. Also it would have been interesting if finding her was a mission for Kara. I mean what was Isshiki's plan once he had a vessel he had no more partner nor a second vessel to pass his consciousness to?(because code was considered a failure) Anime wise, he got lucky with Urashiki. Manga wise, he got lucky with Momoshiki.(don't know what happened to that so please enlighten me) And THEN they make Isshiki stupid and got HIMSELF killed. We don't know of how long Kara has been established, but you'd think since they were stealing research materials from Orochimaru Isshiki would follow his lead and not put all his eggs into one basket. And have multiple bases and multiple Kara groups the rarely interact. And he doesn't tell all bases and groups to people he does fully trust. Aka people like Amado and Koji. Thanks to Kaguya stabbing him in the back. This whole story honestly became a mess as soon as Isshiki decided to get hands on,(aka the moment he visited Kawaki in the Uzumaki house) despite his condition. And I feel like this new Otsutsuki was basically them saying "OOPS we shouldn't have killed him so early."

I belive that last theory makes sense and that the reason that there was a chakra fruit capable of single hand wakening a rinnesharingan its because it was created with shibai's body that was left on earth. Think about it why would kaguya only feed ishiki's legs and not the whole body if she saw ishiki espape why wouldnt she go after him? And this actualy anwsers why ishiki had an "extra" ten tails becuase it was the original one he brought, wich kaguya probably didnt have acess to and why she just left ishiki's body, because she didnt have a use for it. this would also explain why she betrayed the otsutsuki and thats because she found a power she assumed would be able to rival them, and so far it seems to be true because even tho that power is divided Naruto alone was able to fight ishiki, her only "mistake" was having children that diluted her power and allowed her to be sealed ( and not killed because it could be part of shibai's power wich black zetsu may be as well). I think your theory is pointed in the right direction but I believe this theory may make more sense, I think that Kaguya and Ishiki were looking for Shibai because he found the perfect planet to create infinite divine trees, earth, and after they found this planet they were going to use it for themselves, but Kaguya fell inlove with the planet and consumed the last fruit that Shibai created. Then she killed Ishiki, I find it hard to believe that without the divine tree that Kaguya could defeat Ishiki. I think this makes sense since we know the shibia’s body was found on earth meaning that he existed on earth before Kaguya and was using earth in order to achieve god hood, which he did. Shibai having no other need for the planet, there was a race for the otosutski to find the planet that shibai held hostage for himself.

I have a list of questions: 1.) Kaguya uses the infinite T to place humanity under genjutsu which requires the moon, and then later becomes the moon? Two moons? 2.) Ishiki invades host body Jigen at a certain time and that body survives until present day Boruto… how did the host body live that long. 3.) I went back and read and watched her “story” and the tree had been placed thousands of years before and manifested into that gigantic tree as said by her servant girl melleniums ago and she seems unaware of it and obviously had questioned it. My theory is that she went with isshiki who has been tracking shibai and found his last known location earth and finds the tree. He then investigates where his body is and the planet that ascended him while kaguya creates a life for her self here. On to your other questions especially the moon lol, I believe it is visually there already in the show so when they seal her with shibukutensei it just become enlarged and a store house for her body and gedo

Also isshiki shrunk himself into jigen and resided in his brain then manifested karma to continue living for this long I don’t necessarily think he needed amado to survive that body with the only exceptions being parameters to over abusing chakra in the ineffective vessel, more so just creating vessels suitable for him quickly before his time ran out in that insufficient body. It’s also possible he went to orochimaru first and was rejected and then had been suggested to go to amado. My reasoning being orochimarus knowledge on bio rather than tech. Though curse marks are religiously tied to oroch, so just interesting that he went to amado instead. There is some back story there for sure

Very simple explanation for this. The explanation we saw was given to us and her kids by kaguya in order to allow her to twist the story. She didn’t want any of her followers to know that she fled a massive force, the otsotsuki, that has enormous power and stole powerful valuables on her way out. Anyone who disagreed with her at this point would attempt to communicate with otsotukis to reveal her traderous behavior and gain their favor. We have also never seen someone who is a sacrifice be able to plant karma.

I still don't like how aliens were casually added in without much elaboration. I'm not talking about the Otsutsuki. I'm talking about the aliens Momoshiki and Kinshiki claim to have destroyed... they have seen other civilisations and destroyed them for their Chakra fruit, which they said was easily done as none of them were able to fight or possessed chakra. That's means there are other planets with different beings and different cultures confirmed to exist in the Naruto Universe. THAT'S INSANE!!! I want to see them. You can't just casually prove that planet earth in the Naruto Universe is not alone and then just ignore that massive bit of lore. This is a huge thing the story just overlooks. What if Naruto and the other humans travel through space to recruit different beings to build a team like the Avengers to counter the Otsutsuki's goal of Universal dominance.

Kaguya seems more competent with her Dojutsu than most of the Otsutsuki members that we have seen in Boruto with the exception of Isshiki. Isshiki would win. However, if Kaguya gained absolute mastery of her Rinne-Sharingan and can somehow trap Isshiki in an unfavorable dimension or in a powerful Genjutsu, that would change the entirety of the battle. Kaguya is one of those characters that relies a lot on hax but also has low battle awareness. She could have a lot more raw power than we realize, but it seems as if she doesn't know how to use a massive chunk of her power. She was strong enough to critically injure Isshiki in a surprise attack after all. Isshiki however, has the rawest power level and is a highly skilled combatant in battle, especially compared to all the other Otsutsuki members that we have seen.

1.) I think the reason we "can't" explain the presence of a chakra tree without either Isshiki or Kaguya being fed to it (as in without it being stated that they were explicitly) is because it was left behind by Shibai Otsotsuki's partner that had to have been traveling with him in order for him to have ascended to the next plane of existence - with the idea you hit on with him having ascended without eating the fruit of his last tree. 2.) I think the databooks entries on characters are written with the perspectives of the characters in mind, which is why sometimes they say outrageous stuff that doesn't quite match up with what we get demonstrated in the manga. It's possible/probable that Kaguya is sealed and Momoshiki just assumed she was dead because he couldn't sense her anymore due to her being sealed in an alternate dimension this time (it's possible that the only reason they tracked her down this time was because of how long the 10 tails was active, as well as how much more powerful it was, causing it to be sensed/detected more easily and because it has been >2000 years without a check-in by the Isshiki-Kaguya pairing with the main branch family they might've put two and two together and realized what had happened, likely not catching on the first time Kaguya turned into the 10 tails because it wouldn't have been something they were expecting at the time). 3.) iirc Kaguya is stated in the manga to have selectively chosen humans to feed to the world tree/ten tails/infinite tsukuyomi. It's pretty easy to miss because it's literally only hinted at due to either Hagoromo or Hamura's love interest in their flashback being brought to the world tree - which is how they figured out what their mother was up to, and also when their mother got angry that they had chakra. It's heavily implied that she still loved her children and possibly humanity (more likely just her kids from my POV tho) because she started crying right before she became the ten tails.

Kaguya ate the fruit and summoned a moon to put humanity under Infinite Tsukuyomi... Somehow a large portion of humanity survived and she ruled over them, only to put them under Infinite Tsukuyomi again when battling her sons? I'm confused as to the true events of what happened. She arrived on Earth, attacked Isshiki & ate a chakra fruit, then at some point she put a large group of humanity under I-S (long enough to turn them into zetsu, even though a bunch survived as humans) and battled her sons. Any other details I'm super fuzzy on. Like how many times did she cast the I-S? Did she cast it on the entire world or just a local strike? Is her Jyuubi more powerful because she merged with it? Does that mean that an Otsutsuki could've been fed to the Jyuubi from the 4th Great Ninja War? What would've happened to Kaguya then? Why didn't she Karma mark any of the humans? How did she merge with the Shinju? Wouldn't it have eaten her and granted another fruit? Is the War-Arc Jyuubi an adult (since the seedlings in Boruto are juvenile)?

Great theory…… But I still believe Zetsu being an evolved form of Karma is the only logical way of combining both timelines. With your Kaguya post chakra fruit theory kind of explains it. Two things about Kaguya timeline makes sense to me one Earth has to be one of the most powerful harvesting planets in the universe. Two Isshki came to earth originally to find Shabi. He sent Kaguya down to earth to find Shabi last chakra tree and look for a vessel for herself. Kaguya came to earth to see a planet in constant state of war. Because of that finding a vessel was not easy on earth at the time. While looking for a vessel and probably Shabi tree Kaguya got familiar with the humans fell in love with one and decided to rule the planet on her own then her first betrayal happened with her husband and this probably happens right after Isshki came down to earth to check on her progress being love with humanity and him possibly having affection towards her caught him off guard and cut him in half. Her husband betrays her shortly after so she plants her ten tails feeds Isshki legs to it and puts the planet in IS while she is pregnant. While she’s raising her kids she harvesting Charka to send back to her clan to keep them away while also building an army to fight against them if they would come to check up on her. Then her sons seal her away years later and spread her charka out to the world which unknowingly releases a circle of hatred embedded in Kaguya charka based on the times she has loved and been betrayed by those she loved also her own guilt for turning on her own clan. There weren’t many vessels on earth before Kaguya so the theory that Zetsu has to be some form of post charka fruit evolved karma makes sense to me. Zetsu is the Amado of the Naruto timeline where Amado used science Zetsu used time for his genetic manipulations to find a way to release Kaguya or better yet rebirth her. Kaguya died imo because Zetsu died and the cycle of hatred disappears. So pre-Kaguya the earth was in a constant state of war Shabi charka was left on earth so a lot of power hungry people ruled. Then Kaguya time on earth was a period of peace and love until the earth turned against her which turned Naruto story the cycle of hatred. Now boruto has Isshki and Momoshki charka on earth which is the theme of Classism for Isshki and Technology for Momoshki where in which those with power should rule those without power that’s where Kawaki thought process is going.

4:20 here's an interesting thing Sage Mode is the combination of Nature Energy and Chakra. However, nature energy seems to have nothing to do with Chakra. And the Humans seemingly never had Chakra before Kaguya had kids, and those kide spread it throughout the earth in 2 ways. After that, if said Chakra is removed from a human, they die, for example, the Rykage. SO! Do we think that everyone had a little bit of nature Energy before? And Chakra took its place but more abundantly? Because, why would they have a chakra network if they never had anything like Chakra before? I would actually really love it if Kaguya returned. Know it’s an unpopular opinion, but I really liked her character and her story so her returning as an ally (hardly the first time the series has done that) would be really cool. Would lead to a very interesting three way war as well. We have her people vs humanity and her and then a split among the latter with Kawaki who wants to destroy all of her kind including Boruto vs Boruto and his friends (I imagine she’d take this side out of necessity).

I think the other Otsutsuki waited until Kaguya getting resealed the second time by Naruto and Sasuke to make an appearance was probably due to Isshiki's plot that was shown in Boruto. Isshiki still communicating with the Main Branch that he will be able to get back and consume the "Naruto Earth" and was just waiting in the wings as he was probably keeping tabs on black Zetsu's plan of reviving Kaguya. Then would jump Kaguya once her plan succeeded and wait until he has the power to do so. The Main Branch then just decided that Isshiki might not be able to do his job and decided to once and for all consume the "Naruto Earth". Or Momoshiki is just that wild Main Branch guy that did not care and went his own way to consume the "Naruto Earth" even though other Main Branch Otsutsuki was letting Isshiki finish up his plan.
