I know this is a couple years old but I don't see many videos on these. I picked up a Kahr K9 Elite 03 for $550 about 6 months ago. I got a steal, not a single scratch or mark on it. Guy said he bought it years ago, took it to the range once and it sat in his safe until he wanted to fund an AR build. Lol. Anyone hesitant due to price, don't be. Actually getting a feel for it since I own one now, I would've gladly paid retail. Phenomenal firearm.

Wholeheartedly agree. I paid a little more for mine, but hell, its a great gun. I have 6 handguns and K9 is, overall, the best one.

The Kahr K9, the one that started it all! Odd that the gun that you have, while made in Worcester, Mass,, cannot be purchased new by Mass. residents. Only pre-Oct. '98 K9s allowed, due to lousy 'consumer safety guidelines' that circumvent the legislative process via legal trickery. I live in N.H. now, but it saddens me to see such a fine pistol that works flawlessly in the role of self-defense banned in the very state that makes it. Enjoy that K9, it's a good one, made by good people!

3:22 Kahr's manual is poorly written, at least the part for "Dismantling" (their term for field strip). If you look at step 3, 4, and 5, they ask you to take out the slide stop, ease the slide forward, then for step 5, they said: -- 5. With the Slide Stop removed, pull the trigger to release the Striker, then relax pressure on the Trigger and push the Slide forward off of the Frame. -- If you actually follow this instructions you'd never get the slide off the frame (at least I couldn't). They omitted TWO important steps: Before you pull the trigger, you need to pull the slide backward a little bit. Then after you pull the trigger, you don't let go of that trigger. Instead keep the trigger depressed until you pull the slide/upper completely off the frame. At least that was how my CM9 worked, took me a couple fails to figure that out :)

CW9 17 ozs., K9 25 ozs. I'm sure it shoots nice and smooth at 25 ozs. What do you think of the half pound difference as far as carry goes? Does it carry nice or seem heavy for you? Love my CW9. Thanks. Grey
@greybeard277
@greybeard277 7 жыл бұрын
I do like the way they look. I shot one at the range once, very smooth. The trigger seemed extra smooth compared to my CW9, but it could have been just a well used trigger as my pistol was pretty new at that point. I think 25 ozs. is a good weight for a carry piece. Thanks.

@@1371CEA moot point, piece of crap blew up in first 50 rounds. Had it factory repaired, took 5 weeks. Tried to sell at gun show for $300, no takers. It is now a paperweight in my workshop, never to be trusted or fired again. Incredibly dissappointed in company and product.

@@GBGuns He's making stuff up He said the "ejector exploded off side" But the ejector isn't on the side, it is inside the frame under the slide What he describes is physically impossible and clearly made up nonsense My bet is that he has never even held a K9 let alone fired or owned one
@HansZarkovPhD
@HansZarkovPhD Жыл бұрын
@@virgilhilts3924so maybe i used the wrong term. The piece of metal in the groove on the right side of the slide to the back of where the casing flies out of the chamber when fired, exploded out of the right of the slide. This is the small lip that grabs the edge of the casing and pulls it out, thus my use of the word extractor. It burned and severly cut the first knuckle of my right hand under my index finger. Took 5 weeks at the factory for a warranty repair. Sent back with, "replaced part" and no other info. I was shooting new pmc bronze 115 grain, not a hot load. What is you fucking problem with me dude? The gun i have is a piece of crap that no one will buy from me. What do i get out of making this up and what do you get out of calling me out when you dont know me and have zero first hand information? STFU you goddam keyboard warrior.

Cant wait to sell my pos k9 at the end of the month and get a csx. Still having trouble with my right hand after ejector exploded off side and injured me on round 21. 5 weeks for repair and no indication as to why, just, fired 3 mags, gun works. Scared of it.
@GBGuns
@GBGuns 2 жыл бұрын
If there was an explosion it was likely an ammunition issue unless the firing pin was somehow stuck forward and the gun slam-fired.
@1371CEA
@1371CEA Жыл бұрын
@@GBGuns He's changed his story 3x in the comments. First, the extractor came off during fire, then the ejector exploded off the gun (injuring him...) Then, the gun just blew up in his hands. Sounds like someone is just salty they didn't know how to inspect their gun prior to firing. Orrrr, they used shitty reloads depending on which version of the story you're getting. Fyi, the ejector is molded into the polymer frame and covered below the slide. The extractor is part of the slide.
@HansZarkovPhD
@HansZarkovPhD Жыл бұрын
@@1371CEAok so it was the extractor. My gun does not have any polymer in it. All stainless. Didnt change the story at all, you are too stupid to umderstand it. Have the scars on my hand to prove it.
