In 2017, leading AI expert Kai-Fu Lee shared a dire prediction: half of all jobs - both blue collar and white collar - could be automated within ten years, replacing the workforce with solutions built on artificial intelligence.
Brad and Kai-Fu discuss what this coming change means for national economies and for people who care about their work. Kai-Fu lays out practical steps policy makers can take today to prepare, the three areas he believes human intelligence will continue to lead, and why he remains an AI optimist.

Lee said paper bok will disappear in 10 years, in a TV interview 10 years ago. He predicted a great number of workers will lose their job in the same interview. None is true.

This is sick, for anyone to say "AI teaches us what it means to be human". If this does for some people we have a bigger global problem on our hands that really needs to be rectified and technology will not solve it. Humanity is lost.

@@mainframe4051 LOL - that's dramatic. So I guess you mean Artificial Intelligence's subjective failures & successes couldn't POSSIBLY help researchers empirically understand how we define being human? Gosh, it sure would take someone pretty full of themself to believe that that analysis might not help computer scientists objectively & iteratively understand the fundamental layers of human thought at a computational level.

@@mainframe4051 Mr Lee agrees with you. He explained the title after his recognition of relationships are more important than working in 2013 and after life changing health news. Have you listened to the podcast or reacted to the tiltle?
