I feel peer-to-peer payments are not as safe as Paypal... Sorry but Paypal saved my ass various times from being scammed, while Aliexpress is been raping me continuously. I do agree with a few things of Mr. Kai Fu, but not all.

Tmall and other sites are copies of Amazon and eBay and they are able to get better due to population size which assists experts in data analysis. I live in China so I can verify many facts. Like for example my Google pixel works so well when abroad yet when I am in China, it does not...

Clearly you dont use much those Chinese sites even you live in China(maybe your Chinese language not good enough cause those site don't have English interface or extremely simple interface). Tmall, Taobao and others sites are much more efficent than Amazon(I'm frequent user of amazon when in Europe) and the services are much innovative and diversifired. If you think they're copies of amazon or ebay, all online stores in the world are copies. Online store or ecommerce is not IP of amzon or ebay. The population size is not the basic reason to make success( have to be the commumming power). The US has much stronger commsumming power than China over the last 30 years. The progress of amzon is slow. ebay is almost same as ten yeas ago. What did you verify? not because you're in China, mean your words equal to the facts, list your convincing fact to me, i like to read. I am iphone user, dont know much google pixel phone. honestly, i dont care.

@@dvsh4756 google is better than baidu. agree. as search engin. whats make wechat succed is services, very very convenient for daily life (covering almost everything). not social communication part. You're very judgemental guy, if you feel good to say things this way, i dont really care your second part. You hate so much, it suck rational part of your brain. i think we work hard, learn hard, invest much in r&d, still lots of go and to change. stealing is not solution, neither communist. in my life, i didn't see any durable example succed by steeling, can't imagine a whole country. the other countries are not dumbs. You not need to do make-up like victim as the excuse of failure.

@@KAHUU-FR well then open up your market, for companies to operate...why ask them to hand over their source code ? Are you saying state funds were not used to boost your companies ? did baidu and weChat develop in an open internet market competing with google and watsApp...remember, these are the companies visible in public clearly. When it comes to manufacturing, god knows what sort of unscrupulous ways you chinese concoct ...
@KAHUU-FR

@@dvsh4756 who asked you hand over source code. no such law. its only for the government bid, because the application or software system will used in government, cause USA and China are such good friends, security issue is always top concern so certain part of code need to put into check-up proceess. same rule applied to Chinese companies. if you dont like, you dont need to reply the offer. its your choice. i know, microsoft and apple did it. of course the government client has obligation to keep they code confidential. Governmental offfer/bid is never open free market. Chinese companies have even no chance to participate whatever you try to be open and transparetns. Chinese companies are EXCLUED by US government

@@dvsh4756 to reply to the second question, company in certain sector in China could have preferential policy such as bank loan, tax, green pass.. nearly no fund. fund is for university and natioal lab such thing. I know in USA, Beoing, Ford ,Tesra, Airbus, SCNF in France....used to have or still have same things. China have already recognise such things wont really good incentive to make progress. Governmental fund are not helpful to make any true progress in front of market compitition

This guy talks nonsense. First of all we chat is a mobile chat app so comparing it to Facebook is silly, better to compare it with what's app and Viber. Second, they were forced to shut down because Chinese do not like competition from abroad so they can develop their local market

I am laughing so hard right now. WeChat is a mobile "chat app" XD?? Chinese shuts down competitions from abroad?? While there are Intel, Microsoft, Samsung, Amazon, Nvidia, and even Oculus in China?? LMAO Glad to see so many stupid ignorant brainwashed people outside of my country.

I live in China mr dumb dumb. Please explain how google is blocked? explain what happened with uber and how they were kicked out and didi did an exact copy...Nvidia is still in China because China is unable to create something similar yet just like they are unable to create something such as the Sony playstation (advanced gaming console) so when you talk shit, be educated....

@@MrTaloul Google was blocked simply because it does not obey Chinese law! People can still use Bing and Yahoo in China (foreign companies BTW). Yeah you can make arguments that Bing and Yahoo are not really competitive. Fine, but OMG do your really think the other points support your argument? And you are living in China without knowing PC games are so dominant and Chinese rarely even play console games at all? Don't make me laugh so hard. And your logic is like because China can't make GPU, so China can't make console; and a Japanese company somehow can because they can't make GPU either. HAHAHA Like WTF You are just stupidly hilarious. You made my day, thank you!

Dude I advise you to think before you type. Even when you use yahoo or bing, these sites take time to load so you end up having to use Baidu...hmmmm, I wander why that is.....Also Chinese do play console games but their consoles are not that good and they do prefer computer gaming but then again companies like Intel and AMD are the dominant ones. Why do you like to argue? Go sleep man and relax

@@MrTaloul Oh man, I just can't help laughing at your stupid comments. I guess that's why China ban KZbin - laughing too hard is just bad for health. "Intel and AMD are the dominant ones"? What's your point man? So China allowed Intel and AMD to be dominant against local companies somehow? I guess that's a bad new for them then LOL or Are you just suddenly admitting China is NOT banning ALL foreign companies because competitions now? Anyway, I guess you really think hard before typing, and I get it, It's your freedom to be stupid.
