Kai Sotto dropped double double performance to win against Shiga Lakes. He scored 16 points 14 rebounds 3 blocks 1 assist to help his team Koshigaya Alphas win the game. He also did some new moves and speed check on the defense.

those people who say kai is slow were stupid. When a distance covered takes 1 and half step for others, kai takes only 1. Others need to exert more effort just to jump higher when kai just need to jump a bit and dunk the ball, that's why it seems slower but when you time him running a fast break from one side to the other side of the court, it's basically the same as the others. But I guess people are so dumb to understand that 🙄

Solid Points Man. I admire Kai's progression but we must also be realistic. If he were to make it to the NBA, he needs to improve his perimeter defense. I often see him get singled out and faster guards have a feast out of him. He also needs to be quicker in is decision making. He seems to lack confidence but this will develop overtime as he plays more. On the offensive side, he is starting to be more assertive which is good. He just needs to polish 2-3 go to moves for him to get more touches. A face up jumper would be nice, A solid hook would do much help and a more patient and stable set up will be great for him too. I pray Kai makes it to the NBA next draft day. Peace be Upon you all.

A certain guard should dictate the set plays so that the pick and roll will be more effective. His team must be more agressive in the defnsive side,, they should look a clean pass for a center to feed the ball smoothly. If double team may take place, they must anticipate it quicker and be close to the ball hand of the teammate in order get the pass before making turn over error. Very good job for the team, coach is very happy finishing a big margin of points in the end game. Blending of the team is improving more. Less turn over and very good shooting plus defensive part is secured xonsistently.👍💯💪🇯🇵🇵🇭🤩🤩🤩🤩😍

Kai has added a lot of weight in the off-season and is now harder to push in the paint. However, his speed, agility, hops and overall athleticism suffered. It'll be obvious if we compare his games this season with the previous one. Hopefully, he gets used to his added weight soon. Maybe they should focus on regaining his explosiveness the next off-season instead of adding body mass again.

Interesting thoughts 🤔, but for me correct he gains mass but it's a muscle and hopefully that should continue just a bit of bulk muscle for stronger body not just a mass. And actually he looks more athletic this season and much quicker tho. 🤝👌🔥

@@BG11official he’s been unable to finish some lob plays that used to be money for him. Of course, he doesn’t have Kawamura anymore and his new team mates are pretty bad but Kai was finishing alley oops easily back then, even if some of the passes were off. Also, he’s gained more balance on the ground but isn’t as agile as last season. His hops is also not as good as before, not just compared to last season but even back when he was with TSF. Seen Kai accidentally bump his forehead on the backboard as he casually finished an alley oop play. I’m sure the clips are still on KZbin, you can see it for yourself.

Big guys literally moves slow because of their huge physique that is why they are not assigned or allowed to act or move like a point guard. they need to adjust their playing style like moving near the net to lessen the dribbles. Their task is to defend, to rebound, shoot at short range or dunk the ball if possible.

There still fine tuning needed to their plays..their some irrational fouling, they should minimize errors of their "no address" ball passing, should have eagle eyes for the best open man to shoot/quick and pinpoint passing to man who acquired and cleared position under the basket and the cutter in the middle.
