how come kai tracid didnt become as big star as tiesto? they have a lot in common though. not sure if people noticed. their style is similar, except kai tracid probably had better hits back then that went underappreciated

Kai is a self-made man, he did all his productions by himself. Other labels and later his own didn't spend too much for marketing. Still he got famous because he is really good. And the Frankfurt Posse was one of the most active and supportive in germany. Tiesto never ever produced anything by himself, also not the old stuff, don't be fooled! But he is a marketing machine. Many of the Dutchies actually are. Thats why you always find them overrepresented in e.g. DJ Mag Top 100 (where you can just buy your spot)

Possibly the worst crowd I've ever seen a dj play too. If that was Dance academy in Plymouth when it was open, there would be limbs everywhere and Jaws swinging about all over the gaff. Proper quality trance and hard trance there.
