Kaiba Meets Kisara

So, we all know that when you type in something along the lines of Seto x Kisara, the video Seto Kaiba Meets Kisara is one of the first to come up. I put that up a few years ago because I was pissed about something that had to do with the couple being bashed. (BIG time SxK fan)
I had every intention to upload the Japanese version and compare the two, so now here it is.
Instead of just the cscene where they meet, I thought it might be nice to have the entire clip to add some background information.
About the Content:
Well, the subs aren't great (no punctuation, incorrect spelling...) but it's better than the English version (which we all know can go burn in Hell along with the people who wrote the friggin script).
What really catches my attention is the last thing Kisara says to Kaiba: "But I believe that one day, we can meet again.".
Of course these probably aren't the most accurate translations, but they are the most I could find this far along in the series. If you are fluent in Japanese, please translate this or leave a comment or send me a message or.. SOMETHING.

I liked this plot though I don’t necessarily see it as romantic. She is in love with Priest Seto. That is strictly the case, and would ruin that devotion if another was brought in, so while Kaiba is a reincarnation, he isn’t her love. The connection to the Blue Eyes is nice though. If you see it through a different perspective, she got to see him again and watch over him, as a descendant of her one true love, because we must know: Priest Seto and Seto Kaiba are not the same person. Kaiba’s reaction to her is shock and confusion. The spirit of the Blue Eyes is in front of him. I don’t want to dumb it down to attraction, but more of awe. She is beautiful and pure of heart.

Much as I love this particular moment, even if nothing ultimately comes out of it other than what's already expected (Kisara's devotion influencing the Blue-Eyes being at her reincarnated lover's side, giving him all the power and protection he needs), I will agree that Kaiba's addition to the arc for the anime, up to and including his presence at the Ceremonial Duel was pointless, even if he did buy time against Zorc using Ultimate Dragon. If nothing else, The Dark Side of Dimensions by being firmly manga canon renders his contributions and presence here moot. Hell, GX and 5Ds could still the manga version of the Millennium World and nothing would change. It's not even like all the other fillers that very much flesh out Kaiba into someone that embodies the positives of Nietzchean philosophy, as characterized by the first time we ever see him, reading Also Sprach Zarathustra. Nonetheless, I am still of the camp that ships the girl and the reincarnation HARD. After all, if the Magicians fully manifest as Duel Spirits when Summoned, as in they do talk (Ceremonial Duel for Mahad, Bonds Beyond Time for both), then I really would've liked to see Kisara talking to Kaiba again. Granted, she's now a dragon with different forms (Kisara dressed as Chaos MAX Dragon would be AWESOME!) so talking isn't so easy. Kaiba would buy that it's real, despite what the dub would have you believe, but he'd balk at the fate aspect of why he would be after the cards. He may believe all of the mystical stuff is real, and has banked on them a couple of times (such as defying Ishizu's vision), but he'd rather they not bother with him, especially if they tell him things like destiny. That almost got into fanfic-y territory, but would have been nice if that was explored. Shame Takahashi-sensei got sick of doing the arc and ran out of time, thus giving us the lame payoff to that built-up duel between Atem and Set.

There's a reason why he didn't "Regain" past memories, they weren't his. Seto Kaiba is just the Reincarnation of Priest Seto, they aren't the same person. In essence Kaiba is to Priest Seto, what Yugi is to Atem.

@@challengerjakku1943 actually YuGiOh had some continuation in a manga released before the movie the dark side of dimensions Seto in the dimensions was about to duel pharaoh and he summoned his blue eyes white dragon then the dragon transformed into Kissara and Seto was shocked, then he was transformed into the real world Kissara should have played a role in the dark side of dimensions butthe author didn't build in top of these events and the movie ended with Kaiba challenging the pharaoh in the afterlife the story should have continued with the inclusion of Kissara but the author didn't complete his story or tie it well together and then he died but I feel unsatisfied.
