Bro nearly every importain character has a simular backstory. Most people in one piece had a rough youth and this is the reason that people became the way they are. In Akainus backstory it is heavily implied that pirates must have destroyed his home place and probably killed his family, thats why he hates pirates with a burning passion. For Dragon its implied that he maybe was a marine back in the days and he must have seen some shit to build the revolutunery army. Dont even get me started on kumas backstory or most of the strawhats. So you dont have to get a hateful view on the world, but it will still influence the character

The beauty of Big mom and Kaido is that they did achieve their dreams. Kaido died fighting which he always wanted and Big Mom created a really huge territory and her rule isn’t that bad compared to Kaido and the world government. She said she will become the king of the seas and she became the emperor too. Edit: I don’t know about others but I really liked Big mom as a character even more so than Kaido. Kaido is perfect example of a guy being screwed by the politics which is why only the thoughts of dying or fighting brings him joy(include alcohol too).
