Actually. Dogs licking your feet can be a case of they have noticed wounds, callouses or other sores on your feet and they are attempting to help it heal via saliva. They also do this to show respect and acknoledgement that you are the alpha in the pack. They will also do this to parts of the body which do not have any noticable wounds, but have something wrong elsewhile. One tale has a dog that had noticed an unknown internal injury and only after consant pestering by the dog they went to the doctor to discover they had cancer or such. Dogs licking you is a Pack Bonding thing they do. So don't get too angry with the little pups when they do so. It can be trained out with some positive reenforcement that its an unwanted action, but yelling and kicking will confuse them as they will mistake it as you not accepting their 'vassalage and position' in the Pack...

Dogs mouths have more bacteria that actually cleans what they eat, even poop dogs can gain some nutrition from but the main reason for that is they can actually break down and tell what's in the area from the poop. Also dogs tend to poop near other poop because they are most vulnerable when pooping so somewhere covered in poop is a safer spot in their minds.
