Kaiju Memory vs. Reference Speed Drawing | Dino King 2 | The Beast of Fire Mountain

Another commissioned pop-culture dinosaur / monster study, this time it's the confusing kaiju dinosaur lizard monster from Dino King 2 / Speckles the Tarbosaurus 2 where they truly go off the rails and give us this awesome dragon thing. I clearly didn't remember how chonky it is.
Speedpaint recorded in Procreate for iPad with some finishing touches that weren't recorded in Photoshop.
I've really been enjoying drawing these pop-culture dinosaurs (and other movie monsters) that I've been sketching lately. I hope you all enjoy them too!

Holy Cow, It’s The Beast from Journey to Fire Mountain, A Giant Mutant Iguana like creature and he looks kinda cool not gonna lie. I love the Beast from Fire Mountain and he’s one of my favorite movie villains ever since the Red Death from How To Train Your Dragon and he looks so intimidating and he kinda reminds me of the Beast from 20,000 Phantoms because of how amazing he is. I don’t care what people say about the Monster from Fire Mountain, he looks so amazing and the fact that he survived through lava looks so terrifying.

Wait, "Dino King" had a giant monster iguana? As far as I remember, it was a movie about Speckles the Tarbosaurus taking revenge on the one-eyed T.Rex for the death of his mother.
