Hawaii is definitely a vacation I MUST take at some point. My question is, how long would you say a proper visit should at least be? I randomly got it in my head that it would have to be at least a week but thats just a guess. Obviously it would add on the expenses but I would try to hop onto as many islands as I could. And lastly, what tourist traps would you say should be avoided at all costs?

Hello. Next month I am going to Kailua Kona and Waikoloa for the 3rd time in 20 months. 2 great bars near the end of the video with spectacular ocean views are 'On The Rocks' on the ocean side of the street. Great happy hour every day at 3 and great sunset views. Also, the sail shaped building at the end of the video is the Royal Kona Hotel home of 'Don's Mai Tai Bar and Restaurant' whom supposedly invented the Mai Tai? Thursday night is their famous legendary live entertainment night, soooo good even the locals go there, but get there by 5 to get a seat for live music and sunset views. Midway through the video he passes the Kona Inn, the inn is closed but their famous oceanview restaurant is open. I stay at the King Kamehameha , great staff but the restaurant is disorganized so I eat at other places.

Aloha! Mahalo for watching, for Mai Tai’s and bar food I personally loved Laverne’s Sports Bar, you get a nice ocean view from the second floor, Sam’s hideaway and Cheeky Tiki are also very popular.
