Love the video. Watching you pic your lines choices,and how smooth you are on and off the gas (through the mud holes and trees) is a perfect example on how to ride. Thanks for posting.

Can't get enough of these. Amazing to watch your line choice and how you weave your way up through the pack. In my opinion, the only thing that could improve these is to move the Gopro down to the chin bar or somewhere lower than the top of the helmet. The top mount really smooths everything out and doesn't really show just how rough the track is or how much you're moving around on the bike. I understand that might get a little distracting in a race scenario, but figured I'd toss the idea out there :)

Jay Dalton BMX, moving the camera to the chin bar won't change a thing. The reason the gopro doesn't show how rough it is is because of the image stability feature built into the camera. I bet he's running the newest gopro 7 with much better stability. I'm not so sure I like the stability control actually. It makes it look like he's not going as fast. Actually looks slowed down and I know damn good n well Kailub isn't going slow!

@@c6quad3 the chin Mount shows you the riders bars and you can see if he's sitting or not, as well as every little weight transfer. It would definitely be an improvement but it's probably uncomfortable for kr.

@Andrew M , Kailub commented on a previous video when someone mentioned mounting under the visor. He said he has sponsors to be shown on his visor and that's why it's mounted on top to show one of his sponsors.

Is it just me or does the stabilizer in the new gopro make it look like Kailub is going slower? It just looks slow motion. I know good n well Kailub isn't going slow so I know it's not him!

Yeah Ive noticed that when using the stabilizer... I go slow with a normal Go Pro but the stabilizer makes it look extremely slow, its as if the removal of the vibrations makes it too smooth which makes your brain think it's going slower then it is....

The last thing I need is stabilization to make me look slower than the slow I am! Pro tip: Superview gives the illusion of speed. It may flatten the terrain some but the bending of the outside of the frame whizzing by looks faster. I’ll take it lol

@@KailubRussell thank you. I'll make sure to do that if I can ever get to the course the day before the race. Normally I have to get up early the day of the race drive straight there, sign up, pay entry fee, unload, gear up, and head to the line for my class. Have to use my first lap of the race to get to know the course.

Love the footage, gotta say (and I've seen this with my own footage, and I'm going exponentially slower than KR...) I hate how smoothed out it gets. Don't get me wrong it's super impressive technology to make it look this butter smooth, but boy does it take the frantic nature of racing out of the equation. It looks like a walk through the park to the uninitiated. Meanwhile if you attempted riding this course without being in shape you'd be puking after about a minute.
