The Govt never promised or even talked about PR after studies here. Govt has a process for the PR and that is still there. Govt did not raise the points. The points go up because more qualified people are applying. Please do your research before saying the Govt raised the points. Even today, if the students come for Masters (after bachelors), they can become eligible for PR much faster. Or just go for sectors (STEM, French etc) where more PR invites are available.

Immigration system is still very transparent compared to US. I was able to get PR in STEM ( did my masters here crs 495)and both of my cousins got theirs under Healthcare(RNs). Students who are struggling the most are those who are grade 12 with 2 year useless diplomas or students who have degrees but not job that can help with PR. Most of the people who are getting invited are also students but they are either best of the best or they belong to category based draws. EE is still favourable for international students problem is students want covid time low crs points that won’t ever happen. Even if they do cec draws those draws still be in high 480s or 490s. Majority won’t even qualify for those either.

Your score is slightly above average in the current scenario. I know many a work permit holders with CRS above 510 struggling for PR. Government allowed continuous immigration first, used their labor and money, and now, throwing them out of the country.

The host unreasonablly supports student visa system ਅਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਕਿਉਂ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਨੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ student visa is a temporary 🎉 visa and they have to return to the country of origin once their academics and work visa is over. Only some percentage of students are eligible to qualify for PR. ਜੈ ਵਿਧਾਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਗਲਤ ਭਰਮ ਪਾਲ ਲਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਕਸੂਰ ਹੈ। Ignorance of law is no excuse. Host to well informed ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜ਼ਮੀਲ ਜਸਬੀਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜਿਆਦਾ ਸੁਲਝੇ ਹੋਏ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰ ਹਨ
