Great review. Very thorough and straight forward. I just bought one of these for $69 on eBay and am looking forward to setting it up tuning and making it quiet.

Damn!? Great shooting! Great review! I just bought a 60 inch 50lb recurve by mandarin duck. So similar setup and can’t wait for it to arrive to try it out!

At 44 pounds at my draw length with this bow I was able to get 198 FPS over my Chrono with my 360 Grain Carbon arrows 185 FPS for my 450 grain Port Orford Cedar and 165 Fps with my 600 + grain wood hunting arrows. Mind you this was with the 40 pound limbs on the bow, truly fast for such an inexpensive bow

Something that might help your shooting. Try drawing the bow past your anchor point and then settling into your anchor as the string comes forward. Just remember to release with good back tension. This helped me get away from short drawing/snap shooting, so it might help you too. Good video and review.

Different things work for different people, but in principle I don't think you should let down before release; you should actually do the opposite. Why give away power that you've just put in? For me, I draw, hold only an instant, then I draw back another inch and release, in one motion. That's what Armin Hirmer teaches. I tried it, and it really improved my shooting.

Good review. Someone else mentioned the bow being heavy, but I have not noticed that. I guess I should weigh it and compare it to some of my other bows. It is very accurate.

$59 right now. I have one in 25 pound draw. It is very good, except noisy. I’m thinking of getting one in 30 pounds now.

This looks like a great inexpensive bow fishing set up to me. Something that shoots good but cheap enough that you won't feel bad beating it up with all the bow fishing shenanigans.

I have the D&Q 50 pound cool thing is samic sage parts fit on it. I also got the black hunter 60 pound it's nice hits hard. Funny thing my draw is short so my 50 is about 45 my 60 is about 54. Love the off the shelf shooting my D&Q I put the rest on. I'm thinking of getting 60 pound limbs for it.

Hello. I just received this bow from Amazon - 40lb. limbs. and put the hair rest on, silencers and shot it for the first time - WOW! this is amazing! I asked around what arrows to shoot. A few people said 500 spine and a few more said 400. I had some 400 spine arrows from China and tried them out. They flew like darts- straight and fast. I am really impressed with this bow - a little noisy but Ill try to quiet it down. Thanks for the review!!
@bowhuntingsoul21493 жыл бұрын
Glad you like it. 400’s seem awful stiff for 40#. Have you bareshafted? I’m shooting 400’s out of 50/27”. Does yours “click” too?
@tedbryer25123 жыл бұрын
@@bowhuntingsoul2149 I put a thin piece of rubber under the limbs and no clicking. Also - I don't think my limbs are 40 lbs. - more like 45 or 50 . Thats why the 400 spine arrows fly so good.

I ended up selling it because I wasn’t shooting it much and couldn’t get comfortable with the grip. But it’s just a personal preference. It’s a great bow

Curious as to what the downsides are to the Sinoart takedown recurve?

I just had a bad experience with quality on the one I got. Could’ve been a one off thing. If you scroll my videos you’ll see that one as well as the more recent one on the Obert Black Hunter (pretty much the same bow). Vastly different experiences and quality. Truthfully, you never really know what you’re going to get when you order any of the Black Hunter/Mandarin Duck varieties. Overall they’re incredible bows for the money. You just have to get the “right” one and check to verify poundage.

Not if you put it at the fadeouts as close to the riser as possible. There’s little to no flex there.

I bought mine based on KZbin reviews. Mine was a dismal failure. It was poorly made and looked it. The upper limb bolt stripped out after only a couple of shots. In my opinion, the black hunter style bows are much better quality. I have two. The samick sage is better yet. The best bughet type bow that I have bought is a SAS Maverick. It is a splendid little bow and compares favorably to my Bear Super kodiak. Both visually and in performance.
