Quelle interprétation magnifique, t'es l'un des meilleurs du Kora et tes parents étaient déjà fiers de toi, paix à leurs âmes, amen. Bonne continuation avec plein de succès et des grammy à la clé.

find " Ancient strings" Toumani's father and Ballakayes"s uncle play Kora duets. There are so many great kora players. The best kora player I have ever heard was Unis Cissoko from Senegal.

La kora est un instrument fabuleux et ceux qui le jouent sont des virtuoses

This is Sambouyaya, it is in the same family as Konkoba, though he is playing it in a style known in Bamako as Autorail, a modernized version of Konkoba. Really its a blend of three songs, but kaira is not one of them.

@Ayatollah89 Also sounds like Kaira to me. He plays the rhythm a bit funky , but the melody in the bass is the very standard changes ( I - V - vi - V - II - V - vii - V). There are versions of konkoba that also sound like this version, (Toumani's for example), but to me the thing that really defines konkoba is a 9/8 rhythm. The rhythm/dance from Guinea/Mali is played in this fashion, and the older balafon versions I've heard are all in 9/8. I wonder how this fast sixteenth feel came to be.
