phil bozeman is basically the deathcore father, he is the top of the iceberg

Ending part was a breakdown. Btw there a different types pf breakdowns, you have slower and faster. By listening to more bands that uses them, you will have no problem spotting them 😁 Maybe you just need to get accustomed to them 😉

The record label had Phil do a One Take of this and you can just hear his breath control and how low he gets

my friend, during a breakdown you have to close your eyes and headbang, hear the heaviness and let it fill you with adrenaline! you cant simply sit still and enjoy this type of music, your body should want to move. but thats just my take on it. Phil Bozeman is the king of deathcore, i recommend listening to 'the saw is the law' by these guys, its got some good switch ups and speed which you say you prefer over the breakdowns.

I remember you saying something like "NOPE NO MORE" after the lorna shore video and here we are lmao If you can't get breakdowns i suggest you check out some Kublai khan TX songs, if it doesn't make you understand then idk what will! Keep it up my boy

My reasoning for liking this is personal. In school being bullied they typically story music was my escape and metal specifically relates to the pain I feel. When I’m down I’m not going to turn on some broken hearted Drake song. I need the pain to feel real. On another note I listen because imo no better talent is showcased other than metal. The sound of highs and lows give perfect contrast and the beefiness of guitar and drums banging in perfect synchronization or unsynchronization depending on the band 😎 And breakdowns are just the absolute best thing ever

You don't have to like all breakdowns, a lot of metal, especially older stuff from the 80s and 90s don't have these super-slow breakdowns. If you like faster change-ups, old-school death metal like Death (Lack of Comprehension) or Morbid Angel (Summoning Redemption), or something newer like Cattle Decapitation (Bring Back the Plague). You don't need to turn those into reactions, just listen on your own time if you want. As for the cave used in the video, it is likely the band used one of the larger caves in eastern Tennessee, where the band is from. This part of Tennessee is in Appalachia (a mountainous region of the eastern US which extends through several states) which has many underground cave systems and creepy old forests.

Breakdowns can only be understood with the entire body. Dance like you're in a pit, and you'll get it...probably

the end was a breakdown as well. breakdowns dont have to be slow they are just heavy hitting and nasty to hear all around. for me what makes a breakdown is the build up to it. whitechapel is the goat of nasty breakdowns. Go back to the older albums Somatic Defilement and This is Exile, listen to the songs Devirgination Studies from Somatic defilement and This is Exile off of This is Exile. Maybe further explain what i mean. lol the build to the heavy hitting breakdowns, not always slower, sometimes groovy sometimes makes no sense but still gives us all the stank face lol
