कृषि उपज मंडी के तीन स्तम्भ हैं - किसान, व्यापारी और मंडी प्रशासन। मंडी का मुख्य मकसद किसानों को उनकी उपज का ऐसा पारदर्शी बाज़ार देने है जिसमें न्यूनतम समर्थन मूल्य (MSP) की गारंटी हो। वैसे तो मंडियों से वास्ता रखने वाले इसकी कार्यप्रणाली जानते हैं, लेकिन बाक़ी लोगों के लिए भी मंडी की प्रक्रिया कोई कम दिलचस्प नहीं है।
