Nice experiences .... I consider myself lucky to have reatined allotment of 500 shares of Asain Paints in 1982 IPO Rs 12 /- that have become 6000 shares ; 500 shares of L & t in 1992 in rights at 60 /- issues that has become almost 2000 shares today ; 1000 Pidilite at 30/- in 2016 that has become 2000 shares ; ITC at IPO .....never tempeted to sell these ....has 66% of allocation. I only thank god for all this.

Its very common in Insurance industry also. US insurance companies which operate in Florida operate as a separate entity from the parent company where the parent does not own the liabilities of this Florida company. Florida is prone to hurricanes & the total claims are limited to the value of Florida company (premium collected & other investments). The parent is protected from huge claims & in case of extreme hurricane season, the Florida company can declare bankruptcy & protect the main company.

SEBI has finalised the standard operating procedure last October for custodians to follow for enhanced disclosures. Existing FPIs, which were in breach of the investment limits as on October 31, 2023, were required to bring down excess exposure in 90 days (January 29) voluntarily. In case of failure to bring down the equity AUM below the prescribed thresholds within the deadline, they have to make additional disclosures in 30 trading days (March 11). If they fail to provide any details even thereafter, they will get further six months to reduce their holdings.

Dear Sir please take this question. I will be selling a flat and have 1.6 Cr in hand. I have a separate home loan of 40lakhs for 9 years running concurently. I am staying in neither of these flats. Should i repay the 40L loan and invest 1.2Cr in stagerred manner or leave the laom as it is and go all in with 1.6Cr into equity. Will be grateful if u can explain both options. 🙏🙏
