They go full on protagonist complex sometimes, just straight up don't know when to back off. I'm playing a democratic Japan run right now. It's 1943, the whole Pacific is a japanese pond with a relatively democratic CPS I created by liberating countries and supporting various revolts rather than go full imperialism. The German East Asian fleet has been wiped out wholesale and the eastmost german colony now is the fucking Maldives. I was actually content to just sit on my ass at this point and keep preparing, because sooner or later fucking Browder is gonna come for Hawaii and I will have a deathwar with the CSA and what's left of the Internationale after the Entente and Germans rolled them out of continental Europe and Britain. So what does Australasia do? Elect the fucking Guard and go full Anderson Doctrine, taking their fleet of refurbed WWI leftovers and slamming headfirst into Indonesia and an IJN that's by this point literally the biggest and most modern navy in the world. By the time I'm done with these absolute nitwits there ain't gonna be a single european colony left in Asia. And if the rest of them are dumb enough to send their fleets over, they'll get to join the graveyard I'm turning the Solomon Sea into. Portugal joined the shitshow so their colonies go, too. And war with the Entente means the Princely Federation gets to join the CPS fully and I'll stomp the Dominion of India into the ground. Good fucking job, Aussies!

This theme perfectly imprinted the same feeling as the Dominion of Canada did but with a different flavor. The fact a solemn mission must be undertaken to make things right, even if it seems like a lost cause. No offense, but THEY didn't actually write them. The video's title seems to confuse a lot of people, but the actual song is "Protector of the Sky". The ACTUAL title (and the composer) is at the bottom of the screen. Same with the other themes ("The Mandate Eternal" = "Skilled in the Arts", "The Crown Unbroken" = "I Will Be Your Knight", "New Kings Walking" = "Devil of the Town", etc.) Again, no offense. This theme is awesome regardless, and I appreciate Kaiser Cat for introducing me to so many great artists. I'd suggest looking them up for yourselves, actually. Really good for writing and getting ideas!

I love the juxtaposition between this track and the Syndicalist one. This has hope, a heroic air that they will triumph and return home, to land back on their beaches to take back their cities and raise their flag, the true flag with the true spirit and determination of France behind it. The other is more somber, almost sad, a wish for one half to be united with another yet it can never happen. A country, a people divided, on a collision course for war and ultimately destruction. Good choice of music.
