I love making music, and as long as I’m supported by people like you, I can keep doing it. Maybe only a few people will join and it’ll be just us against the music industry, or maybe we’ll grow into a formidable family and who knows, maybe we’ll really have an impact. Maybe people will wonder how we did it. I really don’t know. I do know that I love making music, and with you, I can keep doing it. For those of you who are discovering me just now, hey - I’d love to meet you. Drop a comment on this post, I’ll reply to everyone. Here’s a little about me. I make all of my music from my apartment. I receive no funding from record labels or whoever. I’ve made music since I was kid, to when I was a window washer, throughout my time working at a nightclub in San Francisco. Waking up at 5AM every day so I could have time to do it. I struggled with alcohol and became sober. I struggled with depression and found my joy. And now I just want to give as much as I can to the world while I’m here, and I don’t mean just music. If you’re struggling, I want to talk to you about it. If you feel the weight of the world, I want to help you lift it. There are too many people who feel too terrible about too many things, and I want whatever we achieve together to be a part of the antidote. I used to be consumed with self-loathing. I used to focus constantly on everything I wasn’t. I used to imagine how things could have been had I done this or that. I used to wish I was someone else. My goal when drinking was to look into the mirror and not recognize who I was. If you’re that, or you see yourself in what I’ve just described, know that I feel you, and I love you, and you’re not alone. There is tremendous value within you. Your joy is waiting for whenever you’re ready to claim it. Anyway, I’d love to have you as a part of my community. I hope we can be a light in the dark.
