I don’t know but I have to disagree with this. Based on the case, she ‘seemed’ to have some sort of over-paranoid, obsessive and insecure behaviour. I don’t think a fresh start anywhere in the world would do her any good really if she does carry those traits ‘within’ herself. The handling of this situation by everyone involved was completely misguided. The boyfriend made a misjudgment by maintaining a friendship with the girl he had a casual fling with, without considering the boundaries necessary in a committed relationship. Despite the fact that their relationship was already in turmoil, he chose to remain with his girlfriend. It's an incredibly chaotic situation overall. Nonetheless, no man in this world is worth sacrificing your life for, and this applies to both women involved. He is free to live his life as he pleases, while one woman has tragically lost her life and the other is facing a lengthy prison sentence (90 years). Personally, I would rather be single.

I know well what jealousy does. My maternal grandmother murdered my grandfather in 1930 because she believed he was seeing other women. That murder took place in Eureka, Ca. When the murder happened, my mother was two years old, her baby sister was 8 months and she had 3 brothers under 11 years old. My grandmother was told that if she stayed in Eureka, she would face prosecution for the murder (blunt object used), or go back to Mexico and take her children. No jail time. The punishment was nil but she did punish her children as they were immediately plunged into poverty, living in a one room apartments with no running water and sleeping on the floor. My mother and her baby sister were left alone with hardly any food while Paz Cruz, my grandmother, went out searching for work. This poverty caused great mental anguish to my mother that stayed with her until she came back to the United States. Jealousy is a horrible monster that can gobble up anything good.

Not that cheating is an excuse to kill someone (if someone is cheating on you, break up with them, don't kill anyone) but I just don't believe him, I remember when this happened, the time they spent together that day was going to the pool. They had security footage of Mo and Colin at the pool together, they were touching one another and everything about their interaction screamed FLIRTING to me. Everyone was pretty convinced he'd gotten caught cheating cause I'm not a jealous person in relationships but I've never had a boyfriend (or my husband) go to the pool with another woman alone like that and I would definitely not appreciate the way they were acting with one another. But all Kaitlin did was ruin two lives by going after Mo like that, Mo's and her own.

What an incredibly sad and senseless tragedy. For Mo’s sake, so her life is not lost in vain, please everyone, take a lesson that envy and jealousy NEVER works out in your favour. There are plenty of fish in the sea, and a man who truly loves you will never make you jealous or resentful. I looked up a few of Colin's old interviews on KZbin and it's clear that he is---or was---a good guy. As a woman I found him funny, playful and lovable. I notice no one seems to want to take the time to look up his life before the events surrounding this tragedy. Let's remember that, contrary to Kaitlin's lawyers' pathetic attempts to cast aspersions on Colin in order to distract the public, Colin is a victim too, as Mo's good friend Cash clearly stated in her victim impact statement. He lost a valued friend, his girlfriend, his career & status and all his sponsors, which was a major financial blow. And all of it virtually overnight . His life will never be the same. How much suffering is enough to satisfy us? Be enough to finally stop implicating him? I thought we're not supposed to blame the victim? Or is that reserved just for people we like? I'd be angry, frustrated and resentful too if I were him. I pray he has a lot of love and support as he tries to build back his life after having it get robbed by a murderous psychopath who couldn't stand his fondness of a lovely girl who shared his love of the sport.
