For the record; that trooper wasn't a support character. It's obey of the 6 classes you can play. Jedi, Trooper, Smuggler for the light. Sith, Agent, Bounty Hunter for the dark. After that, you can then pick one of 2 sub-classes each class gets. Each sub-class will determine what weapon and power set you will use. Each class has its own storyline and support characters. The third trailer, the one from the Sith's perspective, was is support character and a Bounty Hunter character. After the 3, the rest of the trailers were for expansions. And so the quality got better

The reason why they didn't make movies on any of these characters is the fact that none of this is cannon. This is all in-game world building only. It's the same as all of the books written before the Disney buyout. All games and books were not 'Legacy' stories and not cannon with the Star Wars universe. Only books and games that came out after are a part of the Star Wars universe as a whole. And no, most of these characters you may only hear of or see briefly during your story playthrough.

Vitiate never really cared about winning the war is the thing. He never cared about the Sith Empire in the slightest. It was only a tool for him. He needed the war to keep going, as the deaths brought from it would allow him to perform a Sith ritual so powerful he could rise to godhood, potentially matching or even surpassing Abeloth (he's performed this riual before to entire planets, but he wanted to perform the ritual on a much larger scale, eventually eradicating all life). Vitiate could have won the war any time he wanted, but he had much larger ambitions than that.

What I love in the first clip is the composition. What they're doing is showing off the classes in the game and their weapons while at the same time mirroring the Sith and the Jedi: 04:28 Nico Okarr showing off the iconic dual-pistol Gunslinger class 04:42 Jace Malcolm displaying the cannon, main weapon of the Commando class 05:05 The Sith come in a pair mirroring the Jedi. On the left, a Sith Inquisitor wielding a dual-bladed saber and on the right a Juggernaut with a single normal lightsaber. 05:19 They engage in master vs master and student vs student combat but the classes are reversed so we get the Juggernaut fighting a Jedi Consular and the Inquisitor fighting a Jedi Knight (Consular is the mirror of Inquisitor and Juggernaut the mirror of Knight). 05:37 The SIth can use lightning powers whereas Jedi excel at Force push/pull, using surrounding debris to throw at their opponent, etc. 06:00 The student willingly gives her lightsaber to her master to help him, whereas at 07:00 the Sith student FORCIBLY takes the lightsaber from his fallen master's grip. 06:57 Jedi Knight is now dual-wielding lightsabers, which is the stable of the Sentinel class and of course the Juggernaut mirrors the behavior transforming into a Marauder. 08:15 Finally, whereas the Jedi Master sacrificed himself for his student and to get the message out about the Empire's return, Darth Malgus sees his master's weakness and like a true Sith executes him.

@@tigrexknight6520 Sapping life from the planet is almost an understatement. He *ended* everything on the planet, even the planet itself died in the course of his action, even the very force itself had been stripped away there. Even Nihilus, who we know could suck the energy from planets, feeding mainly on force users to try to sate his unending hunger, did not pull what this guy did. Sure, even if most life on the planet died from his actions, the force was still there and the planet could still recover if given time. In-setting, what the bastard did was the equivalent of ending everything on a planet _and_ the afterlife in that particular area of space. The guy's scary as all hell. And if memory serves, it is that behavior of his that made both Sith and Jedi work together to bring the guy down, but my memory from that particular part's a bit vague.

_Who are those generals?_ They are Arcann and Thexan, sons of Emperor Valkorion(also known as Tenebrae and Vitiate). Latter was Sith Emperor, who wanted to wipe out both Sith and Republic and to rule galaxy alone. Literally, he wanted to kill every living thing in the galaxy, by draining their life force, giving himself effectively a godhood. He used his two sons to wage this war on wider galaxy, against both Sith and Republic. Valkorion had no love for his sons, they were merely tools for his goals.

And the girl was their sister. He put her in with that sith cult on a planet with no force to keep her under wraps and to also imprint on her a code phrase to render her under his control, because she was SO powerful, the Emperor saw her as a legit threat to him. She was also bat shit crazy. As for Malgus, he now is a rogue sith in the game. He tried to take over the Empire while Emperor Valkorian was off building his third party Empire(with the Sons and daughter), and failed, then found himself captured and enslaved by the next Sith Empress when everyone thought Valkorian was defeated and gone (he wasn't - he just permanently moved to his 3rd party empire), but broke free and became a sort of rogue sith - a type of Sith Ronin who still embodies the sith ideal, but hates the sith way of doing things, seeing them as weak.

Malgus - such a great story as he evolved. One of those things we wish has been kept in "canon" - among so many other things - Sidious taught Vader next to nothing about the ancient Sith - the Golden Age, the True Sith, Brotherhood of Darkness - any of it. But, he did gift Vader one thing. In "canon" it was the mask of Darth Momman. In the EU, he gave him the writing of Darth Malgus. Sidious hoped Vader could become Malgus and beyond which is why he wanted him to learn of him. But - Vader never did.

For the Empire, the Sith Warrior, the Sith Inquisitor, the Bounty Hunter and, the class you don't see, the Imperial Agent. Many people confuse the soldiers in the trailer with Clone Troopers, which they are not. They are normal Republic soldiers, here commando units. The game is set 3,600 years before the movies. Back then there were many Sith and the soldiers were trained to kill both real Sith and Imperial soldiers or battle droids.

So Satele* is a padawan in this trailer, by the end of her life, she is the 2nd strongest force user in known space. the strongest being her husband Revan. she also has zero issue killing. im not saying she loves it but she wont ever lose any sleep on the amount of bodies shes put in the ground either lol.

Satele and the soldier who saves her end up having a fling that results in a son. She’s ashamed of him partly because the boy has no Force sensitivity. And yet the boy grows up to be a badass, managing to bring down a powerful Sith Lord

The Star Wars stories we deserve, sadly not what we get. Crazy part is, these still check the boxes of the modern Disney approach. I don't even know if they consider these canon anymore.

5:46 you have to remember that the sequels take place in a time where jedi are extinct so the fighting style in here and the prequels is lost to time. You also have to remember that the fights between old Obi- wan and Vader, and Luke and Vader were not like the old style either and were still praised

The reason there's so many sith, is that the story of the old republic is set about 3000 years before the original movies. Before the 'rule of 2'.

I will point out to those that haven't tried it, that SWTOR is free-to-play and is a lot of fun. While newer content requires a subscription (a one-month subscription permanently unlocks all content released up to that time), there is a lot of content available completely free.

I'm not sure if you know who Drew Gooden, but recently he release a video talking about how he feels like media in all forms seems to want to waste our time, and while doing so he commended individuals on KZbin who make videos not because they believe it will make the numbers in their analytics go up, but because it is the kind of video they believe their viewers want to see. The intro to this video instantly made me think of that, so kudos to you! I've been enjoying your content about as long as you've been on the platform, and I can't wait to watch more! Much love from the states my friend

I've done a compilation for viewers because some people don't want to jump around to six different videos plus this might be the first time someone has seen the channel. Also, some viewers don't want the breakdowns, just the reaction part. If I can help someone enjoy the videos more, then I'll always try. Thank you for being apart of the community fella!

Fun fact, in that last animation Malgus is pushing 80 years old. He’s called traitor by the sigh because he rejects the sigh council, seeing them as foolish for preferring “pure blooded” sith. He left the order to create his own, without discrimination. Yes, Malgus quite the sith because he didn’t like racism, he is based

which is what made him so dangerous. If he actually got a chance to engage with the rank and file imperial troops he could probably take over the entire sith empire because unlike the rest of the sith counsel he actually saw value in what others could do.

Iirc, Malgus is a “true Sith” and that is why the other Sith called him traitor. “True Sith” are Sith who don’t believe in the “evil” of the dark side so to speak. They believe the dark side is the best way to understand the force and how to help the galaxy become better. To elaborate, they believe in survival of the fittest but shun things like subterfuge and deception. To a true Sith anyone can become the emperor or whatever they want, if they are strong enough. Doesn’t matter if you are a noble or a slave. If you can prove you are strong enough to take it, you deserve it. It requires a paradoxical amount of humility to follow this path because you must also accept when you are beaten and someone takes your stuff. You can work to become strong enough to take it back and that’s kinda the idea. Everyone is trying to get stronger and so their society is strong out of necessity. This is juxtaposed by what most people view Sith as, like Palpatine and the rest of the Sith in game, where deception, elitism, racism and backstabbing are the norm. To better demonstrate what I mean, here is a classic example. If someone following this ideal came across a village that was being raided by bandits, they would assess if the villagers could defend themselves and if they could then they would not intervene beyond telling them to shape up and stop being a bunch of bitches. However if the odds were stacked too high against the villagers, then that would be “dishonorable” because yes the bandits are stronger but they are preventing the villagers from becoming stronger. This is cowardly and weak because it’s like “oh look at the big man! He’s so strong he beats up people who can’t fight back” so they would intervene and then work to make sure the village was strong enough to defend itself in the future. Another example would be if a “true Sith” killed a man in front of that man’s child. He would go up to that child, remove his helmet, tell the kid his name and say “remember my face. become strong enough to avenge your father. Then come and find me.” And walk away. A “true Sith” seeks out strong opponents and doesn’t shy away from things like mercy because that child being out there getting stronger means the Sith has to keep improving themself as well. If they don’t then they will be killed and they would deserve it. It’s kinda the Yang to Anakin and Luke skywalkers yin way of being a Jedi compared to how the republic era Jedi had become so complacent and aloof. It’s more grounded and “in the middle” compared to the extremes. Like these two factions could coexist, versus the absolutes of Jedi and Sith extremes wanting to wipe the other out. They would clash more often than not but the Sith wouldn’t wipe out a worthy opponent and the Jedi wouldn’t kill someone just because they believed differently and did help people, even if it seemed unorthodox.

This is some nostalgia, played the beta and for a couple months after launch. Was such a beautiful game with great storytelling. It is sad that it ended up being released in such an unbalanced and unplayable form with the devs ignoring beta feedback on server stability issues. Could not justify the subscription with them refusing to fix engine issues. Been who knows how long now and I still remember playing Huttball with my commando.

It is an MMO, you will 99% of the time play as your own character and be dropped in these settings with these characters. The cinimatics are here to give the Galaxy it's story. The first 3 older ones are here to give context to the game on its release, what happened leading up to the games start. Then the later 2 provide context for the Expansion called Eternal Throne. And the last one is for the latest one, Legacy of the Sith.> Malgus was the strongest Sith Lord besides maybe those on the Dark Council, I wont spoil anything but he does some crazy shit later on.

The reason there are so many Sith is because this is before the Rule of Two was established that mandated only two Sith be in existence at any time: the master to hold the power and the apprentice to crave it. This kept the backstabbing to a minimum
@AtlasCrafted
@AtlasCrafted Ай бұрын
This game takes place roughly 3500 years before the events of the movies where the Sith do not go by the rule of two yet and have an entire empire full of force using sith. Its about as functional as you would imagine an entire empire of power hungry, backstabbing lunatics might be. In canon lore a future Sith lord decimates the Sith Empire and creates the "Rule of two" where there can only be two living Sith at anytime. A master and apprentice. He did this becuase he saw how corrupt the empire was. How it could never survive with the amount of in fighting between Sith. The only way for the Sith to dominate the galaxy, was to eliminate their in fighting and the only way to do that was kill all but two.
