Kajli Mach'er Recipe | Choto Macher Jhal Recipe | Chuno Mach Ranna | Kajli Mach'er Jhol |Kajoli Mach
Kajoli Mach’, ‘Kajli Mach’ or ‘Kajuli Mach’ is a type of fresh water fish. It is cooked with mustard - poppy seed paste with green chillies. Being a Bengali our meals are never complete without a dish or two of fish. It tastes heavenly if cooked fresh and served hot with steamed rice only. This fish is very delicate and very difficult to fry. Kajli mach is a small pure silver colour river water fish. Because of its flat shape like a bamboo leaf it is also known as Banspata mach. I prepared a simple Chorchori without almost any hustle.
Ingredients:-
Kajoli fish - 250gm.
Salt to taste
Turmeric - 1 tsp.
Mustard oil - 25ml.
Oinion - 1
Tomato -1
Black nigella seeds/ Kalonji - 1 small tsp.
For paste :- dried red chili - 4
mustard - 4 tsp.
Hot water - 1 cup
