The first time, he could be forgiven for forgetting since it was months ago and just after Team 7 was officially formed so it might not have stuck out to him. But then he tries to go "Oh I'll just kill everyone you care about. Because you clearly have never lost anyone and don't understand my pain", only for Kakashi to tell him "Yeah, you're about 13 years too late for that, brat." and Sasuke didn't even have some reflection of "Oh, other people, have suffered too. Shit, maybe I should stop being so self-centered."
