Nice dude. I love playing this OP. Uptempo swing is so much fun. So many good accents for comping as well
@anidrums90552 жыл бұрын
Agreed! Swinging at this tempo is such a workout for the right hand too, definitely keeps that hand technique sharp!

Tocas muy cool, me gusta cómo todos los golpes son precisos y consistentes, no se ve que dudes en ningún momento y eso transmite mucho control!!!

This was so incredibly good, probably the best cover out there to date. Do you plan on making a cover of the full ? Or is it maybe available on Patreon or anything ?

How tf do you build up the speed to play this... so impressive goddamn you make it look easy and it sounds so goooooood
@anidrums90553 жыл бұрын
Ohhhhhh man this tune took a LOT of time to get clean and up to speed. The triplets on the right hand are relentless (I’m left handed so my right is also my weaker hand 😵) If you’re at all familiar with drum rudiments, I spent a ludicrous amount of hours practicing my paradiddlediddle (displaced so it’s in the swing feel of the song) to get this cover going
@gammaknife1673 жыл бұрын
@@anidrums9055 I can imagine! Maybe this is a bit thick of me, but I never noticed the right hand part is the same as for a paradiddle diddle. Paradiddle diddles are fun, I drill them a lot because I find its the easiest way to play 6-tuplets with the freedom to move the right hand around (also because I had to learn them for Knights of Cydonia). If you're left handed though... jeeez. Impressive. Do you take song requests? I'm learning Sugar Song and Better Step and Rakuen Toshi atm, you might find them fun and I'd really enjoy having a better drum video to reference to learn the songs myself. Feel a bit cheeky asking but don't ask, don't get right? :))

@@gammaknife167 loooove paradiddle diddles they’re so versatile. It didn’t click for me either that swing triplets are basically paradiddle diddles until I dove into this song. I was trying to figure out what I wanted my left hand to be doing until I found just blasting paradiddle diddles gave me that swing on the ride while also giving a consistent rough texture on the snare that I thought went along with the bass nicely. Then I just break away to accent the horns here and there. I’m always down for checking out tunes and adding them into my queue! I’ll give those songs a listen, thanks for the recommendations!

I really enjoy what you're doing but I think (that's my personal thought) you should lower a bit the overall music level so we can hear the drums a bit better. Anyway I like your stuff keep that shit gud! ;D
@anidrums90553 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I really appreciate the feedback. I try to walk a line between showcasing the drums but also showcasing the music im complementing. I try to be as musical as I can with my own inputs I make in covers, so I like having the music fairly present to show for it, however I can certainly go a little heavy in either direction sometimes, and without an outside set of ears I don’t always make the right calls hahaha I will definitely try to make sure all of the drum elements are clear in the mix with my future videos! Thanks again!
