Acoustic! What a treat! Together, these lads were a force to be reckoned with in the live gig scene back in the day! They had a great tone and really dropped the hammer. Met Doug hangin' with John Goodman at the China Club at a Bang Tango show. I was there with my guitarist Scott Spencer who lived next door to Joey and Tigg (Bang Tango) in North Hollywood. Man, in the 80s there was no better place to be than Hollywood for amazing live shows, except maybe Hammerjack's in Baltimore. RIP Tommy Phelps (Tommy's Lunatics), Scott Spencer (Skinny Little Twits) , & Stephanie. Some great memories.

@@ShaneHall I have several pictures I'd taken when LION toured with KUNI (here in San Diego). Kal recently talked about coming back to do some music, and may bring Doug in to do some of the guitars - but sounded like a solo thing. @TawmisGreybeard4 жыл бұрын
@@MathiasSteenJensen No, Lion formed... 1983, I think? They didn't get their big break when they got to sing the "Transformers" theme song for the Transformers cartoon movie (1986) but as a band didn't get their "break" until their album "Fatal Attraction" (1987) came out. They released one more album under the name LION ("Trouble In Angel City" 1989), before going their separate ways. Kal Swan (vocalist) and Doug Aldrich (guitarist) would go on to form BMR (Bad Moon Rising) which released three or four albums, but a very different style of music. Kal would eventually retire out of music, and Doug went on to play for Whitesnake for awhile, and has since been in several other bands (Redemption, Dead Roses, etc). But yes, BMR started in 1991 and went on until... 2003? 2004?
