My great grandfather Tangiia died in the 1970s in Rarotonga. He came to Rarotonga from Tahiti. In the 70s his family from Anaa visits him in our home in Avana near the river. Over the years we lost touch with his Tahitian family. Tangiia Tengakau, our grandfather, was a local fisherman in Ngatangiia, Rarotonga. Will miss when i hear music from his country of origin Tuamotu in Tahiti.

Only in the Islands beautiful people just being themselves. Me penei te korero, he kokonga whare ka kitea, he kokonga ngakau e kore e kitea (the corners of a house can be seen, but the corners of the heart cannot be seen). Noho ora mai Te Tuamotu. Ma te wa. (Be well Tuamotu, see you again in time).
