What is Kalarpayattu?
Kalaripayattu is an ancient martial art that originated in Kerala, India. The word "kalari" means "battlefield". Kalaripayattu is based on ancient knowledge of the human body. It uses weapons and combative techniques that are unique to Kerala. Kalaripayattu is practiced in Kerala and some parts of Tamil Nadu. It is known and practised throughout the globe today. Kalaripayattu contains rituals and philosophies inspired by Hinduism. Students attain the power to control the internal energy, breath, mental power, and the power to focus by following the rituals and reciting mantras.
Kalaripayattu is an Indian Martial Art founded and practiced widely in Kerala, South of India. It is called the Mother of all Martial Arts.
In the pursuit of attaining knowledge from the best Kalaripayattu experts, Arpit trained under the Guru P. Thankappan Assan in Kerala and with Anil Alessandro Biswas in West Bengal. His extensive training and research over a decade resulted in the development of a unique movement, space & energy awareness training program.
