Hi Ashutosh, thanks so much for your interest however, I shall not be teaching this on the channel for now. We are focusing instead on body forms and techniques. (And a little on the wooden weapons). Maybe in 2022 ;)

What kind of wood is the st8ck made of?
@KalariLAB2 жыл бұрын
Hi Sunny. They are made of rattan. It’s very flexible and strong and so doesn’t break when hit, unlike bamboo. Would you like to order one? Adam

Sir is kalaripayattu is as dangerous as kungfu or krav maga. Please tell me me i am very curious on this.
@KalariLAB3 жыл бұрын
@@saptarsanandan8864 Kalarippayattu contains a knowledge of 108 vital points (Marma). When struck correctly, these points can paralyse or kill. They are extremely dangerous points to even consider and many injuries we receive in life can be attributed to these points being injured 'marma injury'. I even suspect it could be related to phantom limb pain, if you know anything about that? These points are essentially clusters of neuro-muscular junctions and according to medical research, are considered points of electrical significance. In Kalarippayattu we learn to attack and defend these points. In Kalari Chikitsa we learn how to heal through these points. So yes, Kalari can be extremely dangerous and thus should be approached and practiced with extreme care and with the right intention. Ahimsa (or non-violence) is the central tennent of Kalari and should always be kept in mind and I'm heart. ❤️

There is north , south kalari . And there is Silambam. All for all. Most Modern practitioners of silambam don't practice that way , physically demanding , a true silambam practitioner can break a cement wall with his kick. But it inevitably creates ego and tension and that's the main reason for the demise of the true warrior style arts .
