Savanth Kumar Naidu Trichinapalli I'm very glad you pointed out this... kaushiki has been changing her style with too much of murkiyan and thiraks that spoil the mood many times. I almost feel she is going the way Parveen Sultana did based on her husband's style and spoiled her own singing. Such things almost start to make it irritating to listen to. A couple small showcasing is okay to show the breadth but when it starts from the get go I personally don't want to go further.

Sir , this is the age of fusion. An artist has the creative liberty to do that . She is trained in carnatic vocal under balamurali ji. She knows what she is doing . I understand you might not enjoy. It's definitely different. But there is objectively nothing wrong it

Very sweet melodious! Very commendable as far as the gaayaki end goes. She has incorporated the carnatic style alaap in the beginning. Very nice. Kalavati or Vaalachi (as named in the Carnatic system) is a very feminine raga, drooling with Shringar ras. Hence, excessive play with the taar saptak notes sounds very jarring. Especially the jump from sa to sa of the taar saptak and the jerky sa pa sa. Less of pyrotechniques would have made this is a masterpiece! But kudos, nevertheless!
