hey faiza, without the pressure cooker it will take, soak it over night in water and follow the recipe, but in a handi, but u will need extra water to cook them till tender.

Hello! Just had a doubt,I am about to try this recipe, and I was wondering if there was a reason to add the curd after 1 round of cooking the channa in the gravy? Because in some recipes I have seen the curd being added during the tomato onion gravy frying up stage...was just wondering why curd is added at a different stage in this recipe, Would appreciate some guidance, Thanks!

Thank you baji.........I tried a lot of your recipes.......ginger chicken, aloo and shimla mirch, anday cholay, rajma, lobia, pulao, etc.......everyone loves my cooking.....thank you for telling us the time and flame speed.......believe me.........I couldn't have cooked without this info.....my mom laughs at me and calls me a freak as I use a timer for everything......lol.....my mom went to Pakistan and now I have to cook and I surprised everyone with my cooking abilities......A BIG HE ARTFUL THANKS goes out to you!!! Now they won't think that I'm good for nothing lol.....May Allah give you ajar and reward you for your hard work......and I also saw the recipe of homemade garam masala and ginger and garlic paste....will let you know how that turns out!!!!
