It's not a fail ... just not exactly what you were looking for. I love that every bar looks different ❤

This is not a fail at all!! But I understand the design you were going for. To achieve that, try putting your fluid soap into squeeze bottles, and add a straw to the top of the nozzle to elongate the "snout". You'll want to pour close to the batter (near the bottom) rather than all the way from the top of the mold. Also, use smaller amounts of batter on each squeeze. You'll probably achieve the look I can only guess you were going for. Happy soaping!! ☺🤩

So cute! This is something that I haven’t tried. I’m running out of room for equipment. 😂 I need a she-shed… or one of the kids needs to move out. 😂

It turned out really great! But I can see why you would call it a fail. When you were cutting them, they didn't look that good. But at the end when you laid them out, WOW!!! It seems you ran into the same issue that I am facing these days. Your soaps thickened quite quickly and didn't pour well. I am facing this issue a lot. I keep my proportions to exactly match soapcalc but still the batter thickens up very quickly... I have been watching your videos for quite sometime and just a week ago decided to try it myself. Not sure if you will read this but any tips would be appreciated. My recipe is: Lye Concentration: NaOH 33% Super Fat: 5% Coconut Oil: 38% RiceBran Oil: 38% SheaButter: 24% I am using Mica Colors and titanium dioxide for coloring. No fragrances.

I dont see the fail. I do think the black is a bit more dominate and i wonder if you did 4 colors instead of 3 if you could achieve what you are looking for.

Why is this technique so dang difficult? I've tried a few times without success either. I wonder if a person poured less batter each pass if that would make a difference.

I feel you. I've focused on pouring directly into the centre of the column mould. I tried having the batter less as well as more fluid, tried pouring less or more each pass, and honestly quite a few batches in and I still can't figure out the secret of getting perfect shapes with the pull-through tool. Fortunately it's fun to do and makes pretty soap either way - so I'm not giving up yet!

@@bigk5837I think that maybe if the black were less and thinner than the color it may help. It would make the black thinner, less dominant and the colors more stable. I would add another color as well. White, silver, super light blue something brighter.
