In this video, see how the Washington Huskies football program's offense, led by Ryan Grubb and Kalen DeBoer, put up 34 points and 481 yards with Heisman Trophy candidate Michael Penix Jr., along with WR's Rome Odunze, Ja'Lynn Polk, and Jalen McMillan and RB Dillon Johnson. We'll talk about how UW football's Counter runs, Pin-and-Pull Schemes, and RPO Screens stressed the perimeter against the Oregon Ducks, opening up vertical seams for a variety of Flood Passing concepts and big passing plays. This game set up a trip to the College Football Playoffs, and ultimately to a matchup between Washington and Michigan in the College Football National Championship.

AND THIS IS WHY MIKE MACDONALD WENT AND GRABBED HIM UP, Seattle is still in good hands. Funny I've watched your vids forever now, and when I went to see what Ryan brings to the Seahawks your vid was first @the coordinator project 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

This video is great man. You really explain all the little things about each play that help tell the story. I subbed.

Love this guys run game. Everyone always talks about their passing attack but their run game is how they took it to the next level. It really allowed them to get as many 1 on 1s as they wanted for their star receivers. Love how they dominated the ground game with tons of creative gap scheme runs.

Appreciate your video's a lot One thing I would like to see more of is analysis of why offenses/defenses aren't working, rather than why they're working. As an example USC is really interesting to me, and 20 point offensive performances against Notre Dame and UCLA was unexpected. Also general observations about how the game has changed over the years, and what teams are doing now that they weren't doing as much before. How this changes what we are seeing.

Thanks! I'm interested in that kind of thing for sure, I just need to figure out a way to do it that would still have a good shot at drawing in new viewers; it's typically better to make a video about an up-and-coming DC that has success against USC, rather than to make a video about USC struggling (though in this specific case making a video about D'Anton Lynn would probably check both of those boxes and be a good video). My best-performing videos are either about (1) big-time teams that are doing well, or (2) good coordinators that will get hired by big-time programs within a few years. In the next few months, though, I want to start a Patreon page that would put out more frequent, but un-edited, videos on whatever happens to be interesting in football scheme, strategy, and history. For those videos I wouldn't have to worry about pulling large numbers of viewers, since they'd be for people who are already fans of the channel. Studies like you're mentioning would be right at home there!

look forward to it. I've watched your video's in spurts over the last two years and have learned a ton that makes me better appreciate what's happening as it's happening. Really awesome stuff. My 2 cents is being highly opinionated is rewarding in the current social media/YT landscape. That doesn't seem like an interest of yours, but I could imagine things like this having success, merged with your analysis of the game being played. Why Jimbo Failed at A&M(Opinion on what had changed for Jimbo, his offense, between a chip at FSU and then SEC) USC, Meet the Big 10(opinion on the transition related to stylistic differences in league play) The B12 is Not What You Think It Is(opinion about B12's stylistic changes, and departure as the best offensive conference) Was FSU the biggest snub of all time? Yada Yada. Beyond big school fanbases I think there are some subject which could be of interest to a lot of people, including casuals. But either way, good luck and thank you

Big fan of this channel! Wondering if the Washington LT is lined up off the LOS on the first two plays? Does anyone else see this?
@TheCoordinatorProject
@TheCoordinatorProject 6 ай бұрын
Enforcement of the LOS rules has a lot of gray area. Technically, the rule is that a player is on the LOS if his head breaks the plane of an imaginary line drawn through the snapper's waistline. With the camera positioned at an angle to the OL it's hard to tell exactly where the LT's head is, but by that rule the rest of the OL is farther forward than they need to be, and it's not blatantly obvious no part of the LT's head is even with the Center's waist. They're definitely pulling him as far back as possible, though, to give him an angle to pull across the formation behind the rest of the line.

If being a coach payed a good amount of money (talking about the average coaching pay in like high school) i would drop out of college and be a offensive coordinator for the rest of my days. Would like to think I'd have good ideas for a spread-option offense.

Thats what i was thinking the other day. How schemes could be so unpredictable. I had one in mind that could maybe work: okay so we would have 6 on the front. 5/1 te. 2 wr 2 rb and the qb. We would need a field general, someone who can read defenses. Okay so say we see that they’re applying pressure on either side, the qb will then motion the te on the opposite side to throw off defenders making them think we’re going either direction. Then depending on the side of the pressure we fake split screen, motion right/left w the rb on either side of ball. So ok seahawks have zach (left) and k9 (right). Obvy theyre thinking okay k9 is the play maker we go where he goes. So the pressure is on the right. Have the qb snap ball look left quick then right pump fake right then hand ball of to zach causing the left edge to close in on the qb where zach then sprints off hopefully finding gap and going up 1on1 against a defender. Hes a truck monster so i think he could win it w a right defender. Idk tho ive been sober so kind of been thinking of schemes. Hate it love it idc
