Finally an honest unbiased opinion. I have a pair of decalthon running shoes, bought many pairs and always loved them, now I have pain in my ankle and blamed the shoes, thinking of getting some expensive ones. However, I tried some mizunos in the store, and after about 20 meters, the pain came back. I run on uneven surfaces, roads are tilted in Thailand to drain the rain, I think I'll change running surface instead and see what happens. And I will try you bungee shoelaces also + cheap insole.

After watching this review, I decided to give a try. I had Asics GT2000 with 400 km ride, so I bought them just to see how good in comparison these shoes can be. I was surprised. The cushioning and response is way better than latest Asics GT2000, they are very lightweight as well. Not much support but I am tiptoe runner so I don't need much support. I would recommend those for faster runners, who prefer to strike with forefoot, otherwise you will can start feeling lack of cushioning after few miles. They are durable as well. I've done 600 km and they feel almost like new. Never used for race but they felt good even at long distance running 30 km @ 4:58 min/km pace. P.S. Decathlon states that these are for beginners, but I would say otherwise - the cheaper the shoe, the more experienced you should be to wear it. They don''t have any arch support and are not as restrictive as other brands, your feet will have a lot of freedom and in case your feet is not strong enough and you still don't have proper technique, you can bet at higher risk of getting injury.

Thanks, I just bought some to try as a daily trainer to give my Adidas Bostons a rest / save them for races. So far so good, not much difference in feel. And I don’t care about the looks, at least when training 44/ UK 9 in Adidas is equivalent to Kalenji 43/ UK 8.5

Wearing them right now. They seem really quite good. I'm a 44 for everything, but a 45 in these. They're quite slippy inside. You notice walking downhill. But for shlepping about they're pretty good. They really look like Nikes! The name Kalenji is a reference to the Kenyan tribe the Kalenjin, who produce a lot of the great distance runners.

Ok can you tell me can I use this shoes for daily running for 30 to 40 minutes
@BertrandVanderBerg3 жыл бұрын
Sure. No problem. I have done that for some years. I did have more than one pair I rotated for daily use though. This will be good for any shoe brand. Don’t run every day in the same shoes. This helps the EVA sole to recover and not get compressed.
@yashwantkaler10432 жыл бұрын
I walked around 830 km last month so does that mean I have to change shoes every month??
@BertrandVanderBerg2 жыл бұрын
Almost 30km per day? That is a lot of walking. I guess that is more than six hours of walking every day. What do you do is it for work? Personally I get way more than 1000km running from a pair of shoes. Running is also much higher impact than walking. You should get even more than that with walking. Just inspect the EVA sole (the white sole) on the side. You will see compression and damage from the side. Compare with a new pair if you are uncertain. Even though running shoe manufacturers would recommended replacing monthly on your mileage that is for running, so walking I would not just blindly follow that.

@BertrandVanderBerg4 жыл бұрын
As good as most shoes I have ever owned. If you run a few times a week they are perfect. If you run every day get more than one pair. The EVA foam expands when the shoes aren’t used for a day or two. Also don’t overdo running if you are just getting started. Start slow and short. Build up the mileage gradually. Heavy impact on knees is more running style than shoe selection.

Hello just wanted to ask. For you, can the shoe be able to survive trecking or triathlon? Considering its strength?
@BertrandVanderBerg5 жыл бұрын
Carlos Bons I guess it depends on the terrain. If it is rough terrain you might want to look at the Quecha shoes also by Decathlon. They are more for trekking and hiking. I like trail running as well as trekking so for me the Run Cushion Grip works well as an all round off road shoe.

I had to ask you one thing, this shoe is good for regular running . Please reply my brother .
@BertrandVanderBerg4 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. If you run every day (or more than 4 days a week) I would suggest rotating shoes though. This is for any brand or model. The EVA expands again and absorbs shock better when you rest a shoe for a day or two. So if you run three days a week you have no issue. If you run daily two pairs will be better. As I said, this is for any brand though.
