I first heard way down we go on the voice sung by a young contestant a couple of years ago. I recorded the show and kept on playing it over and over for.about a year. Then I found more songs. This band is mesmerizing!!! What a soulful, bluesy voice! What he does with his voice is phenomenal including his whistling. 77 years young woman watching one of his outdoor concerts. His songs haunt me in a good way! What an amazing talent!!! Can't get enough. It's almost 10pm and I'm sitting on my patio in the dark with a glass of wine and vibing to this awesome music.

I was there and I expected more energy as well but there 2 things to take into consideration: 1: it was scalding warm and everyone was on "survival mode" and 2: it's a cultural thing.. I'm Brazilian and we're used to sing our lungs out with the bank and it's always an amazing energy, but in the Netherlands apparently they don't really sing along as they are there to listen to the bank and not other people (that's what I heard that day when I queries why everyone was so silent/quiet). I agree 10000% with you though.. that was disappointing to see such an amazing bank to not receive anything back from the crowd

It was scorching hot that day and in all honesty there was not much energy coming from the band either. I love kaleo’s music, but the only interaction came from the girls which makes it a more American act in my opinion. The girls are awesome, but for me take away from the rest of the band. Also, I think Kaleo is not as popular and well known in the Netherlands as they should be.

As people have said here, Imma say it as well. You have no idea how fucking hot it was. I was there myself and it was not fun to be standing there sweatin my balls off. On the Dutch crowd thing, I like to think of it this way. We don't interact during the songs because most of us really want to hear the music as good as we can get. That's on the artist to really show their craft. We like to give our shouts and praise after the song has ended. Now I remembered that this crowd was indeed not as enthousiastic as many hoped it would be but I can assure you that that was mostly due to the weather.

Finally saw their live on June 2022 in Berlin and decided to start to learn the guitar right after that. They were fire, and after a show, I found Thorleifu( who plays the harmonica etc) asked a photo and talked with him, he was super super nice.

@@rairaflaviano9673 the Dutch go crazy at hardstyle, edm, etc festivals but Pinkpop isn’t really a festival for a crowd. If u want a crazy show u should visit the zwarte cross. It’s a combination of motocross and music. There u will find a way different atmosphere.

I’m no music expert, but it sounded like Rubin’s guitar was tuned to the wrong key at the start of Hot Blood, but then during the second verse, he corrected it and then it sounded clean for the chorus again. Still killed it of course, Hot Blood is such a killer song

Geen recensie gelezen, daar heb ik sowieso weinig mee, maar ik kan er ook niet enthousiast van worden. Spil van de band is de zanger, die er uitziet als een filmster. Knappe looks, hagelwitte tanden waardoor het behoorlijk ongeloofwaardig overkomt als je klinkt alsof je slechts een paar rotte stompjes in je mond hebt. Melodieus speelt hij ook weinig klaar. Zonder geluid lijkt het wel wat, maar mèt is het hooguit net echt. Zo'n gitaarwissel naar een resonator, spreekt boekdelen. Die pak je voor z'n geheel eigen sound vanwege de metalen 'pan' die in de klankkast zit. Als je dan speelt via een pickup, doet dit de hele sound teniet en had je net zo goed die Gretsch kunnen gebruiken.
