Thanks for taking us all on such a good road trip around Australia. You're an excellent host, and these are highly enjoyable videos. I have fond memories of a long stay in Boulder as a child back in the late 70s.

Interesting Terry, my father in law, now deceased, worked as a mining industrial chemist. I’ve never been over there, we have such an interesting history , just a matter of looking below the surface.

In the old days (1970's and maybe later) there was a tourist mine called the Hainault mine in Kalgoorlie that did underground tours. It was a real mine like maybe a hundred or more others but the upper levels were no longer being worked. It was fascinatiing. Unfortunately it got absorbed into the superpit. That pit is digging up all the gold that was missed through underground mining. It is said that many of the mines extended under the town. If you look at the walls of the superpit you can see many of the old mining tunnels. There must be a lot of gold under the town area but I guess they won't be moving the whole town. Another great video thanks.

In the old days, EVERYBODY on the Goldfields did their washing on MONDAYS. Why? Because Management scheduled no blasting in the mines, so there was less red dust to discolour the washing.

The police station used to be on the same street as the Hay Street Brothels. So, the Council renamed half the street. Problem solved.
