Use the condenser microphone you are talking in to measure and adjust the frequency response. This would annihilate struggling with sound quality almost completely, and level up your mixes.
@ju1ceaudio8 ай бұрын
actually that would destroy my mixes lol I think you are referring to a measurement mic! yeah I have one and thought about using sonarworks but I tried to review these monitors as they are and try them in a bunch of different rooms to hear there sound.
@EngineeringAllAround8 ай бұрын
@@ju1ceaudio Thank you for the review, that is the right way to do it. But the sound depends very heavily on speakers placement and surrounding surfaces, so no one can predict how the speaker would sound in the next installation. Especially if it's a budget speaker targeted for newbies (who knows, where they throw them). On the other hand, you can get microphone frequency response from the datasheet (or the Internet) and that curve is NOT dependent on the variables mentioned above (except for relatively small sample deviation). And having this tool now you can magically turn almost any speaker (having enough power and modest quality) into perfectly sounding monitors at the listening position. Once created the filter could be used with the Equalizer APO or plugin in you DAW. The room treatment does help to reduce amount of correction, but never makes a perfect result (though you should make aprox half of investments to the room treatment, but newbies doesn't do it). So you have either bad sound with any good speakers, or good sound with measurement microphone and modest powerful speakers.

@@llee9928 I've been using these speakers for a little over a week now. I use them in conjunction with the Sonarworks SoundID room correction software. I highly recommend these speakers, especially for the price! The only two things I'd recommend is buying some stands that at least somewhat isolate them from your desk since they seem to transfer quite a lot, as well as buying the longer interconnect cable if u want to cleanly route that cable. The cable that comes with it is just way too short and only long enough to perfectly reach the other speaker without much to spare. Cheers!
