Aahhhh how glorious to see the TWRP recovery interface again. Between 2010 - 2015 I always ran custom recovery and custom ROMs on my devices, but I just stopped having time to keep up with it ( there's so much to maintain when you have to, say, downgrade something to do a radio/firmware update, then a new recovery or kernel may be required and you have to pay close attention to what is compatible with what, etc, - it can be very time consuming, but it sure is nice having a custom recovery and root and knowing that you can completely manage everything on your device). You end up having to spend a ton of time on XDA developers site, and that can be a real rabbit hole. 😅 Thanks for these phone/mobile tutorials, David. 👍💯

It would be very helpful if you could explain what a particular software does and why it needs to be installed when you install it. However, the video you made goes like this: 1. Install this, 2. Run this, 3. Click on this thing, 4. Install this, and there you go - you're done. Thank you for creating content, but in this case, I would prefer if most of the steps were explained more thoroughly, so I could understand what I'm doing and why I need to do it, what that software does for my phone.

Hi David, I tried to get the Franco Kernel Manager on the Play store but I can't download it because Play says it's unavailable to my device, as it was made for an older version of Android than what I have. I'm running the exact specs & build number as you on a 7T (HD1903), so I don't understand how this is possible. Is there another kernel manger you can recommend or should I use the Twrp option ? Hi David, first I want to congratulate to you for your interesting tutorials. I have followed your steps very carefully (on a OP7 smartphone), rooted the device as in your previous video and then I came here to install Nethunter, but when I install Disable_DM-Verity_ForceEncrypt from TWRP recovery, wipe cache and reboot, my OP7 GETS STUCK on boot animation. There's no way for me to reboot system. Can you give me a hand? Thanks in advice.

if its from canada or america, then its impossible. Samsung made all of their north american phones released in the past few years unrootable. If its european, theres likely a tutorial for you on XDA

Is there a more straightfoward way? All this with virtual machine and so on...as you are the engineer, I believe there are a technical reason for that. I already rooted my one plus 2, and have the nethunter image on the phone. I can not see it as a phone in my win 8.1, but I can see it with a kali distro(with internal storage anda all). Is maybe something "corrupt" in my PC or phone?(I can see my samsung phone allright). Thanks for the videos !

i hope you can answer a question for me, i have a oneplus 8 pro NA IN2025, running android 12, rooted with magisk and the appropriate nethunter for the 1+8 pro on android 12 installed. i do not have twrp installed but i can fastboot to a twrp image. i'm up to compiling the kernel but my question is about flashing the kernel. can magisk install it or can i use franco kernel manager to install on a 1+8 pro NA variant or can i temp boot a twrp image and flash the kernel that way? any advice on this would be greatly appreciated since i have bricked several times already and do not want to start over again.

has your rtu8812 external adapter worked using this method? lsusb shows the device (with and without OTG cables) but can't use it. re4son (dev behind the op phone and rpi kali kernel ports) warned against using magisk v19/20 and up for this very reason. Although i've got the same issue on v19. Multiple kernels, multiple OS flashes don't seem to help.

It's easy when you just got one of the most supported and mantained nethunter devices. Most devices wont work out of the box or wont work at all unless you figure it out by yourself.

Hello there I have a problem with the Samsung galaxy A10. After I execute the .\adb.exe reboot bootloader it makes my phone enter the bootloader and after I execute .\fast boot.exe boot .\"twrp name.img" it never completes as it says "< waiting for any device >" and it doesn't appear connected to the Powershell while samsung A10 connected. What should I do?(only dev settings made are OEM unlock and usb debugging)

I followed your instructions with an OnePlus One and LineageOs18.1. Phone is rooted successfully as checked in root checker. Magisk is also installed exactly like in your video. But as soon as i try to install nethunter via magisk, it starts with coping zip to temp directory and after some minutes it failes with: Installing nethunter... Device is system-as-root !Unable to extract zip file! !Installation failed!

I bought the Alfa 36H (2.5&5 GHz model) - it works on my Kali linux install on Virtual Box and nexus 5 nethunter but I cannot get it working on OnePlus 7T... I don't know if I need to do something else I tried to install the reaktek card as per your guide but it fails at the make section? Does the OnePlus have enough power OTG to run this WiFi adapter? Can you please check if it works on the OnePlus 7T.

Yes you just don’t need to flash the kernel. You can skip the Kali compilation part.

David, thanks for the videos! I am having an issue with my install. I followed the steps and properly rooted Oneplus 6T. However, when i get to the step for Disable Dm verity, i boot into twrp, hit install, and all of the folder names under /sdcard are encrypted so i can't install dm verity from there. Any ideas? i tried adb sideloading it and bricked the phone and had to unbrick and start over from stock....twice. Any tips would be appreciated!

First thank you for all the instruction tubes. I see that you use a prepared nethunter for a specific type of mobile. I wonder if you (me later) can build with the hunter project a kernel for nethunter for an other mobile not in de list at the nethunter downloads. In my case a good big screen samsung note 8 (SM-N950F europe) already rooted. Can you make a instruction how to handle that and that also can be used to the so many other good modern working mobiles.
