Doesn't sound like evolution if eventually, no matter what, according to the cyclical nature of reality, always return to and constantly be reliving all of these four yugas. Living beings are not going to gradually evolve back to single celled organisms, at least according to science. That being said we also as a species really don't know anything so who am I to say how things are going to evolve what's gonna happen lol.. Is there possibly a larger cosmical evolution cycle that is greater than the yugas? Also if we follow the rules of the universe hindus have calculated so long ago, combine them with modern science and physics, and assume everything goes in cycles from the micro verse to the macro verse we could also assume the entire lifespan of the universe is also cyclical and at some point will revert to the beginning. With that in mind you could also argue that there could be no beginning because everything is constantly happening and repeating and doesn't require a starting point. This could be a debate point against the need for a "God" figure who snapped everything into existence as everything simply always existed, that could however be countered with saying the creator resides in the higher dimensions and certainly doesn't experience time like we do. From God's perspective looking at our universe could be similar to us looking at a stationary painting, every part of ours and universes history existing all at once. Anyway yeah don't know how I got to this point but I got to the conclusion that yeah, as I have already previously gathered, I know nothing lmao

i was familiar with Kali but having only recently learned about Kali Yuga has helped me to accept current conditions and refocus towards maintaining an inner spiritual strength with a hopefully more relaxed and more compassionate attitude toward my fellow men (who are caught up in a purely materialistic/selfish experience) while maintaining/ building up the courage to speak my truth instead of being fearful of others response to what one might call an unpopular way of seeing things and being ridiculed for it. Staying strong despite being met by sometimes extreme adversities that can occur in the form of alienation. Thank you for this video. This really was an unexpected ray of light for me! =)

Your conception of the Yuga system and of Kāli Yuga is free of any clutter and really presents the scientific nature of the observable cosmic cycles. I applaud you 🙂 One thing I wanted to add - East and West are paradigms based on measurements taken from a central longitudinal/latitudinal point on the Earth's surface. It changes and shifts, like the magnetic poles are doing right now, but the inner centre does not. Rather, it's the process of integration between chaos (spiritual chaos of Western European cultures, political chaos of China, South East Asia in general) and order (technological order of Western European cultures, spiritual order of India, Japan, Cambodia). The energies are cyclical and that's why they are infinite, feeding each other and feeding off each other like two snakes entwined. This is a very powerful, spot-on, video, a wonderfully detailed and insightful description of the characteristics of the Kali Yuga. The way I avoid emphasis on the external world of Kali Yuga is to leave off the head-thinking in order to focus on the heart-thinking which connects me to Nature and Mother Earth. With a conscious effort this is not too difficult to do, and it becomes easier with a small amount of practice. By thinking with the heart rather than with the head, one returns to the fundamental cosmic verities of life which become apparent to one. Head thinking alone is too clever-clever and tells us nothing of any worth, worse, it leads us into the dire pitfalls that Jason describes.

Great to hear from you again. There are many places to start. I would say become familiar with Swami Sarvapriyananda and the Vedanta Society. You can find a lot of videos of him online. Books, well there are many. I would say read 'Be as You Are' about Ramana Maharshi's teachings. Also read 'Crest-Jewel of Discrimination' which is Shankara's teachings. Read the 'Tao Te Ching' by Lao-tzu and also the 'Chuang-tzu' by Chuang-tzu. These Taoist teachings will help you a lot. I also would recommend reading 'The Way of Zen' and 'The Book' by Alan Watts.' Also read anything by Georg Feuerstein, I recommend'The Yoga Tradition.' Hans-Georg Moeller also has excellent books, but they are a little scholarly and maybe good to read after the ones I suggested. The best book for meditation is 'The Art of Living: Vipassana Meditation' by William Hart. Also reading a lot of books on Zen will help. I recommend 'Zen: The Authentic Gate.' To get a better understanding of Buddhism I'd suggest 'In the Buddha's Words.' But this book is in sutra form and can be difficult to read, but it is enjoyable if you have a love for the Buddha as I do. As for sacrd places to visit, I'd suggest staying close to Ramana Ashram in Tiruvannamalai. You can stay in the ashram, but staying close and just going there daily will have a profound effect. Also the Bodhi Tree in Bodh Gaya. Again stay close and meditate under the Bodhi tree every day. I will be taking a group there in February for 5 days meditation. Also there are a few monasteries in the Kathmandu Valley which I would recommend, actually there are many. Another place is Tam Wua Forest Monastery in Thailand. a great place to stay and meditate. So in conclusion, I am connected to the lineages of Advaita Vedanta through Shankara, the Shaiva/Dattatreya tradition through the Pashupatas and Sai Baba, Taoism through Lao-tzu and Chuang-tzu, the Yoga tradition through Patanjali and modern teachers like Feuerstein, the Zen tradition through Bodhidharma and recent teachers such as Shunry Suzuki and Alan Watts, and also the Theravada and Mahayana traditions of Buddhism through Nagarjuna and the historical Buddha. These are the traditions I am connected to and teach. So I know that is a lot, but that all of that is what I have dedicated my life to study and hopefully teach in a competent way. GREAT video and I will watch your Yugas: The Cycles of Time next! I feel sorry that we have to live during this stressful time on the earth. In 2004 something BIG occured in my life which has assisted my own life walk during these times. After it happened I felt the connection to source, that I was a part of source; as was Every animal, plant and every other human-we were All connected. For those confused about the Goddess Kali though: "Kali symbolizes the death of the ego in the ultimate goal of human life in Hindu dharma - moksha (liberation from the cycle of rebirth). Kali is the embodiment of time (kaala) and the female form of Shiva (Kaala). Her name literally means “she who is black”. Kali is said to live in cemeteries amid decaying corpses, reminding us that our world is nothing but a cemetery where all things that are born must decay and die. She wears a garland of skulls to show us that we too must cut asunder the skeletons in our closet. She gives us the implements for our own personal excisions. She drips blood while consuming all of creation. She reminds us that every minute is constantly destroyed in the cycle of time. We must rise above this manifested world to see Her in her infinitude, just as Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, that great saint of Bengal, saw her. He found in her “the benign all-loving Mother.” He felt in her breath “the soothing touch of tender love and saw in her the seed of immortality.” Born of Vishnu’s sense organs or perhaps the composite of Brahma-Vishnu-Shiva and the glory of the devas, she encourages us to come to our senses through teachers like Sri Ramakrishna. “You see her only as black because you are far away from her. Go near and you will find her devoid of all color….The nearer you come to God, the more you will realize that (God) has neither name nor form.” Sensing trouble, Brahma prayed to the female power, described as the yoga nidra (cosmic sleep) of Vishnu and the one who takes away our senses causing us to forget our true purpose (Maya). Brahma invokes this power as Gayatri, Lakshmi, Eashwari (the consort of Eashwar, Shiva), and asks her to wake up Vishnu so he can destroy Madhu and Kaitabha. She emerges in the form of Kali through Vishnu’s five sense organs. Madhu-Kaitabha Samhaara (Devi Mahatmyam, Chapter 1) In another story told in Chapters 2, 3, and 4, Mahishasura Samhaara, a war took place between the devas led by Indra and the asuras led by Mahishasura. The asuras defeated the devas and Mahishasura reigned supreme in his land of Mahisur (present-day Mysuru in Karnataka state). Desperate in defeat, the devas approached Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. They recounted the battle with Mahishasura and how the asuras had usurped the powers of the sun, fire, wind, etc. and said: “We have told you all the actions of Mahishasura and have sought your refuge. Please think about how he can be killed.” (Ch. 2, v. 7) One lustrous power arose from their (Brahma-Vishnu-Shiva) very angry faces. (v. 9) A powerful force emerged from the bodies of all the assembled devas (v. 10). Both coalesced into an incomparable flame and took the form of Kali (v. 13) described in every detail: (v. 13-17) Her face from Shiva, her hair from Yama, and her 18 arms from Vishnu; Her two breasts from the power of the moon, her middle from Indra, her calves and thighs from Varuna, and from Mother Earth her behind; Her feet from Brahma, her toes from the power of the Sun, her fingers from the Ashta Vasus and from Kubera, her nose; Her teeth from the Prajapatis (the ten sons of Brahma), her three eyes from Agni (the Fire God); Her brows from the power of dawn and dusk, from the wind her ears; together the powers united in her. The sources of her implements are listed: (verses 19-30) Shiva gave her the power of his trident, Vishnu his wheel and mace; Varuna (Upholder of the Cosmic Order) gave her the conch, Agni the spear, Vayu (the Wind God) gave her a quiver filled with inexhaustible arrows; Indra gave her his lightning (Vajra ayudha) and the bell from his beloved elephant Airavatha; Yama (God of Death) gave her a part of his death staff, Varuna gave her a part of his rope, Brahma gave her a japa mala and kamandalu (water pot); Surya (the Sun God) gave her his rays taken from every pore of his body, Time gave her his sword and a sparkling shield; The sea of milk (Ksheerodhara) gave her a garland of pearls and ever-fresh clothing; Vishwakarma (the architect of the Gods) gave her a crest jewel (choodamani), ear studs, bangles, the crescent moon, armlets for all her arms, and toe rings, and axe, several types of arrows, and an unbreakable shield; The sea god gave her a garland of unfading flowers and a lotus flower; Himavan (the Himalayas personified) gave her a lion to ride and various gems; Kubera (the God of Wealth) gave her a goblet filled with wine; Anantha (Vishnu’s companion) gave her a snake garland. Emerging from the forms of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, equipped by the devas, she filled the earth and skies with a powerful sound that reverberated through the universe. Mahishasura, in the form of a buffalo, heard her. Surrounded by his asuras, he ran toward the sound asking: “What is this?” (Ch. 2, v.36) He saw her spread over all three worlds-pushing down on the earth with her feet, touching the skies with her crown, shaking the underworld with the twang of her bow, her arms encompassing it all. The battle began. She fought all the asuras-Chikshura (Mahishasura’s Commander in Chief), Chamara, and Udagra, each one armed and backed by an impressive entourage. She fought them like it was a game, without any sign of fatigue. Each breath of hers manifested millions of chandikas (female soldiers) who fought with her. Facing Mahishasura, Kali threw a noose and tied him. The asura morphed into a lion. As she severed the lion’s head, he became a man with a sword. Using swift arrows, she decimated him. He transformed into a large elephant and attacked her vehicle, the lion. She cut the elephant’s trunk and freed her lion. Mahishasura took the form of a buffalo again and the world trembled. Drawing from the depths of her wine goblet, the goddess drank and laughed as she made dust of the mountains that Mahishasura threw at her. She stepped on him and immobilized him before decisively driving her spear into him. The destruction of other asuras and the dramatic killing of Rakta-bija are also elucidated in this hymn. Stories of Kali’s origins can also be found in other Puranas such as the Linga Purana and Vamana Purana." - Hindu America

You said that the Kali Yuga mindest is to see the world as an adversary but I think this might be a hen and egg question or maybe a positive feedback loop. Living in Kali Yuga can give you the impression that the world actually is opposed to you, even if you originally believed it wasn't. I'm talking about the cold heartedness of the people and technology you encounter in Kali Yuga. Of course the spiritual and natural world are actually always harmonious but it can be easy to forgot that under these circumstances.

I do believe that we are in the Kali Yuga. I think we came to the same solution. I noticed a picture of Bhagavan Ramana Maharishi on your desk. Me too. I started with Sadhguru, from there Shri Yukteswar and finally Ramana Maharishi. Why these saints? Because like Jesus they all teach the kingdom of heaven is within. My goal is to escape karma by renouncation of all physical attachments. It seems impossible for a householder to renounce wife and children but I'm starting to get it while still attending to my Dharma as Arjuna was taught by Krishna

Great video brother. I will disagree on one point though. Emotional people are seen more as outkasts because the world has become so rational that very few people can even relate to emotions so when they see someone that cares or believes in something outside the world they appear crazy to the rational minded person. They just can't fathom how you can believe in something so strongly that you can't prove and have no physical evidence. These same people will go to church but for them it's all just a dog and pony show. Yet you have people who don't go to church but meditate daily and live their entire lives trying to please God to the best of their abilities. Peace and blessings to all who reads this.

This is very interesting and such a good video. Thank you. I don’t “believe”, I know we are in that time. I’m a monk. I live on a mountain about 100 miles from the middle of nowhere but I used to live in a big city. Four years ago (3/2020) I left the life I knew to relearn life focused on Source (of all things). I sacrificed the life I knew in pursuit of a life focused on remembering and the knowing associated with the senses that had remained dormant until that point. So, I deal with the energy (people) from the Kali Yuga by staying away from it. Completely. I refuse to reincarnate/to come here another lifetime not remembering who I am and why I am here. I sacrificed the life I knew so I could remember and that’s the best thing I’ve ever done. We are here for so much more than what we were taught. The life most chose (free will) is all they can see which is the consequence of that choice/“beliefs”- I call them programs. Anyway (I don’t get out much), I stay away from people who are lost in their choice. I only go into the closest town, which is less than 2000 people, when I need food or weed. About six months ago I went to get gas in a town with less 20k people & as I was about to put my car in park at the gas pump, a woman drove up really fast to the front of my car honking her horn , screaming at me saying I had stolen her gas pump and then bumped my car with her car. I took a deep breath…..I did not react because I did know what I was dealing with at the time. As the woman was screaming at me, I looked over and saw the pump next to me was open. I reversed and went ahead over to that pump because I refuse, absolutely refuse to engage with that kind of energy or let it affect me. That’s just me though. Most people have lost it (lost in their choice) so I stay away from them. Great video, many thanks! Kali Yuga makes total sense, I know it’s the truth.

Also about A.I... 21:50: One way in which I am framing the wisdom vs "knowledge / rational intellect" divide (it shouldn't be a "divide", but I guess it is) is to look at it from a "brain/mind" vs "belly" perspective. The former is intellect. The latter corresponds to wisdom / connectedness etc. We clearly need more "belly" -- where is the "gut feeling" coming from?! And one place to start can be the actual physical belly. As in physical balancing etc -- read: unicycling, skating,... For me, at least, that has helped opening up pathways into much deeper realms. 🙏🏼😋🧞‍♂️

As per Bhagvad Gita: in Kaliyuga, the three Hindu lineage based races will indulge in adharm and thereby dilute their distinct and distinguishable personalities, traits and natural tendencies - also becoming physically and mentally inferior . This all begins with anger , which when becomes a habit, bad karm is formed due to negative interaction with primarily - family yes. So family should be interacted with very consciously and with restraint over impulse and emotions.
