I'm white and from Northern Ireland my mum married a rasta man back in 2000 and took on the Rastafarian lifestyle she absolutely loved Morgan Heritage capelton bob Marley to name a few she recently passed away suddenly on holiday at the age of 60 I wanted to give her the best Rastafarian funeral I could on my budget so I got a rasta flag with a lion and had it draped over her coffin her flowers were rasta colours we had a minister but it wasn't a very religious ceremony I had rasta readings done and I knew that two bob Marley songs would be played but I wanted more so I contacted Morgan Heritage and asked them which one of their songs would be suitable for her funeral and they very kindly got back to me right away and told me the name of a song they had written when their father passed away and it was perfect and we had it played at mums cremation I know she would have been looking down on me and my kids happy that we had done what we could to give her the best send off ..... Since she's passed I've also started listening to rasta music a bit more too and I can now see why mum liked MH so much I've lost count of the amount of times she's seen all the artists c

2006 was the BEST year for reggae and dancehall music in my opinion: All the hit songs are now classics from temperature, dutty wine, bun him, serious times, behind these prison walls, coming over tonight, church heathen... 2006 was the closest we came to being as good as the 90's.
