It was mainly edited in AfterFX, but the course movement was simple 3D animation on a program called Maya

+TailsPro 128 I've made them all differently, this one was a 3D model of the course (even tho it's flat) then I added the characters on top. The MuteCity one is FZero footage with added players, and the Mariokart with 101 players was original gameplay footage with 93 characters added in 😉

I think you forgot to slow down the timer too, unless simulating massive framerate drops in the SNES due to the train wasn't your intention. Actually, speaking of which: the train shouldn't really kill the SNES too much, since everything is just sprites with a top-down track with a mode-7 effect.

Yeah, it was painfully slow, and the handling seemed off. If not for that it'd be totally convincing, though I do wonder if that train could really be pulled off on a SNES.
