The story behind this movie is inspired from Hindu scriptures that there was a war happened in 3102bc named mahabhrat where a character called aswathama (role of Amitabh Bachchan or that old man) where he was cursed by Lord krishna with immortality as punishment for trying to kill a unborn baby and there was a gem in his forhead which give him powers. So kalki which is an avatar of Lord vishnu (who is protector and preserver of universe) born in after 6000 years of mahabharat to end the kali yuga or saved humanity. - this is just I give short information to understand trailer

1) The city is Kashi it's in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh India, which is the Oldest and technically the 1st City of this world and going to be the last. 2) That opposite Pyramid shape thing is "Complex" there is no water left in the world except for Complex and it's beautiful from inside having trees and fountains and all. The main leader of Complex treats himself as a god is "Supreme Yaasin". 3) Kalki Avatar has not been born yet he's inside Deepika Padukone's womb, her name is Sau 80 (in Mahabharat mother of Kalki is Saumati and Lord Vishnu). 4) Prabhas as Bhairava is a Bounty hunter and he needs 1 million Units to live in Complex (Only Rich people can live in Complex) also Unit is the Measuring unit for the source of power to run the Nano technology they are using to run the weapons and the world (Unit is like Money 💰 for them). 5) As per Mahabharat we are in Kaliyuga and this movie is the end of this world Kaliyuga and a new world will start from here as Satayuga. 6) Ashwathama cursed by Lord Krishna and snatched his stone (Power source) during Mahabharat because he tried to unalive a pregnant women but in this movie by the end of Kaliyuga he got his stone back and he will save Sau 80 because she is going to give birth Kalki. 7) Bujji the A.I informed Prabhas aka Bhairava that a 5 star ⭐ bounty of 1 Million units can be received whomsoever catches Sau 80. So, Prabhas tries to catch Sau 80 to receive bounty to live in Complex and Ashwathama is trying to save Sau 80 and Kalki in her womb.

The Plot is Amitabh Bachchan(Ashwathama) is from dwaparyug(era) and he is 6000 years old and we are currently living in Kaliyug(era). So in Dwaparyug in Mahabharat shri krishna(God) gave ashwathama punishment for his crime as he killed a child in her mothers womb due to which shri krishna got angry and gave his curse that you will not die till the end of the world and took hia mani(stone) and told you body will smell like rotten and wounds will never be cured because of which if you see he was his face fully covered in trailer And when he got his mani back then he showed his face So lord kalki(10th Avatar of Lord Vishnu) comes to end evil So Ashwathama goes to Deepika who is pregnant with lord kalki I guess So he sees her pregnant and cries and feel guilty which reminds him of past what he did to pregnant women in previous era Then he says I will save you and your child as you are about to give birth to god Then entry on Prabhas, now we don't know if he is playing Kalki But his name is Bhairava and Lord Shiva is also known as KalBhairava so he might be avatar of Lord Shiva So he is playing a bounty hunter who wants 1 million to go to complex(it is that big reverse triangle thing shown in trailer) So he gets bounty to catch deepika and take her to complex but he and ashwathama fights and bhairava loses But then he says I can only bring that lady as I never lost a fight So ashwathama and deepika going to sambhala city( city where Kalki will be born) and if you see those laser fight scenes Those are taking place in shambala and prabhas might come there and fight with ashwathama along with raiders(who are kamal hassan troops) And in the fight many rebels die(good people fighting for resources with complex people) So I think in this process at last Prabhas will get to know the true colours of Complex people how evil they are He might change his team and join ashwathama and save deepika and the child

To understand this movie You have to be Indian. Cause this movie is based on Indian Mythology. Kalki is last avatar of Bishnu. Ashwatthama is bad warrior from Mahabharat. Dipika is playing rule of Sumatra(According to Mythology, she is mother of Kalki) Don't compared this movie with Dune. And is he Indian, or pakistani.. Story execution comes first VFX is just visual noise which if blends well with the characters its good enough...for me atleast. A story that involve future dystopia of dry barren environment would obviously end up looking like deserts, considering already too many sci fi employ that narrative. Nothing is new in conception or ideation. Even certain Hollywood movies look like rip off of each other. What matters is how well the story and visual artistry is being presented on the pallette. Thats how a modern audience should apply their reasoning.

Amithab played the character of Ashwathama, he was one of the greatest warriors in Mahabharat. He was cursed by lord Krishna to live forever and suffer throughout his life. That is why they have shown that character in a powerful way. They even showed him very tall because people in the past were huge
