Good to know u know some backstory. Dronacharya father of ashwathama in war of Mahabharata made to belive his son died n he lost all his willingness to fight as he has nobody to fight for so he stopped fighting n was killed in war but in real it was the elephant whose name was ashwathama (shown in the trailer) and when his son ashwathama came to know his dad was killed he got so angery he used his most powerful weapon to kill the opponent but Arjun in return launched same powerful weapon n Krishna stopped both of them and asked to withdraw the weapon boz it could end the human live on earth so Arjun withdraws but ashwathama didn't knew how to withdraw the weapon but he diverted it with his powers to arjun''s future generations ,which was the womb of the wife of Arjun's son abhimanyu,,the unborn baby died but Krishna gave live to the baby and boz ashwathama didn't broke all limit of war rules and humanity that he came to the point of killing an unborn baby Krishna gave him curse to live thousands of years to the end of the world when Vishnu will come in a new avatar kalki to end all evil from the world and restart the cycle of time from satyug...n aside ashwathama, Hanuman and some other r there who r immortal n will join it later...n here prabhas hav played bharavia the name for Shiva n Shiva's vehicle is dog u can see the representation of his dog in the form of that robot .. actually its written in scriptures that Kalki will get a sword from shiv so prabhas could be that sword( metaphorically)

Hi Josh & Miguel ☺️ So, Kamal Hasan sir's name in this movie is "Supreme Yaskin" he's the bad guy who used his powers to detruct everything in this world, that's why there is no water left in earth 🌎 Only one City left that's Kashi (Uttar Pradesh India). The place where Supreme Yaskin is living right now is "Complex". Complex is an Inverted Pyramid shape city which is beautiful from inside, it has water, greenery and all. Prabhas (Bhairava) is a Bounty hunter and need a million unit (Unit = Money) to live happily in complex that's why he's trying catch pregnent Deepika to get the bounty. Ashwathama trying to save Deepika because "Kalki" avatar the 10th incarnation of Lord Vishnu is in her womb. Technically Deepika (Sumati) is going to give birth a God who will end this world (Kaliyuga) and a new era (Satyuga) will start afterwards.

The past scenes actually are from the Indian epic "Mahabharata" where Amitabh Bachchan's character is the immortal ashwatthama. He redirected a weapon during a battle towards a pregnant woman called uthhara. The weapon almost hit her but lord Krishna stopped it. Angered by his actions, lord Krishna cursed ashwatthama to live till the end of the World. As the end is approaching, ashwatthama takes responsibility to protect another pregnant woman to undo his mistake from the past and also provide the world with the saviour "Kalki"

If possible plz watch the Telegu version b'coz as per the reviews the dialogues nd lyrics are banal (doesn't make sense) in the Hindi version. Only the dubbing by AB Sr and Kamal Haasan is good. Also, the Eng subtitles for the Hindi version is direct translation of the Hindi dialogues not the OG Telegu dialogues.
