As a VFX artist I can confirm that a lot of shots can have 30-40 versions. I once had 83 versions of the same shot because they kept changing it. Took me almost 3 and half months on that one shot alone. Also a rough cut of the trailer is already edited by the time most of the vfx is done. That way they know which exact shots to prioratise for the release of the trailer. The work on those shots still continues even after the trailer is released. Some movies make you work on the VFX even after the movie is released, for the DVD/ Streaming versions.

Adhipurush mein everything and useless things ko bhi vfx use kiya tha lekin ismein sets and vfx sab use kiya hai isiliye budget ki problem nahi hua

One more reason is DNEG they did VFX in dune and got oscar for that. They are very experienced in the field of VFX. And guess what DNEG is owned by an Indian called Namit Malhotra 😅
