Great technique with the color choices. In the end what was the point of the salt as you got better contrast and results with the air brush. I'll never understand why anyone uses the salt method at all. It's why hardly anyone uses it. The piece is better without it.

Your technique is amazing, love you videos. One question; what is that litle sponge you use at the minute 10:38 ?
@KALLAMITY22887 жыл бұрын
N3krodamus hi! It's a 3M abrasive sponge. Thanks!

You do such amazing work. This is really inspiring. One question: Do you find airbrushing with Tamiya acrylics to be messy / leave dust everywhere / be smelly? I have an airbrush but no proper place to spray so a lot of my progress has been hampered. But if it doesn't make leave a big mess I may be able to spray in the basement.

I never had troubles with Tamya, despite what people says. I need very strong colors for all the aggressive treatments, so i never changed when it's matter of thick base coats or hairspray/salt techniques. They're just fantastic, you just need to know how to dilute them, which air compressor pressure you wanna keep, better distance to the surface, etc... I airbrush in a Dyson vacuum and i have no troubles with dust or smell. Thanks for congratulations, really glad you appreciated it!

Love your work Luca - very inspiring - but couldn't watch this - gave me major motion sickness :-(

Thank you! Yeah i know.. first part of this video is quite bad, sorry about that, i had bad footage for those steps so i decided to focus video just on two parts: legs and pelvis. Next one will be better, i swear :)

Such precise airbrush work when applying your shadows. If you don’t mind Luca, May I know what size needle you are using and what air pressure? I’m curious to know how you can achieve such good control and fine lines. Amazing work! I appreciate you sharing your videos and I hope to pick up one of your 1/35 kits in the future! 😎

Thank you so much, glad you like it! I know it could seem stupid, but i don't watch at air pressure/numbers longtime, i just watch dilution level and LISTEN to air pressure. Please forgive my "natural" approach on this. I'm a very bad teacher with numbers, sorry about that. I just suggest to try on some spare parts before passing on the real model. The point is that it really depends also on the surface you work with. So numbers and quantities changes every time, in order of specific cases. That's why i usually don't care so much about that. In this case i had a rough ( i applied putty texture) surface painted in matte color. This allowed me to have some more chances to use black color very diluted because that kind of surface stops pigment and thinner faster. (the opposite would happen if i need to paint a gloss surface) It also dries faster, so i was able to apply more coats of a very light shadow progressively (more light coats are better than just a strong one IMO). I hope this would help!

Luca Zampriolo That’s great advice actually! Nothing is better than experience, right? It’s also a very artistic and creative way to approach airbrushing. Thanks again and I’m looking forward to more of your videos. 👍👍👍

I miss that very first part Luca, what all three colors and chemical are you using to mix your paint? All in all how long do you think it took you to paint and construct a model? Even though it looks like it's very very complicated, the airbrush work, if you have some practice doesn't look like it would be too difficult. Lots of broad space and even the smaller nooks and crannies you hit with a brush and that's what I like to do with mine. Very instructional video I like these a lot! Thank you very much for this👌😀👌

Great video. Maybe you could slow the fast scenes down a little so we can see what you're doing a bit better though?
