1:40 Emhyr knows he's in command, but doesn't get his feathers ruffled by having suggestions from underlings. He sees the wisdom in it and takes the advice. One of the things in the Witcher lore that makes him such a formidable ruler.

Funny, Emhyr says all he would have to do is beckon and his guards would kill Geralt. And yet, in the topic of Ciri’s whereabouts: With all of the soldiers, influencers, spies and assassins at Emhyr’s command, in the end none of that helped him find Ciri, not even a trace on her movements. Meanwhile, Geralt managed to learn more than all of the power and influence Emhyr has, combined. The way I see it: Emhyr was in more need of Geralt than the other way around.

DredgenDare Irrelavant. Emhyr told Geralt, gave him the leads. But that is it. The importance of Emhyr becomes absolutely irrelevant afterwards. No matter how much he talks, Geralt and Yen are the only ones who can find Ciri. Without them, Emhyr has absolutely nothing. Killing Geralt leaves Emhyr with nothing. In fact, even gives a victory to the Wild Hunt. So, again, Geralt still has the upper hand. With all of this in mind, I fail to see Emhyr’s importance.

Plus how many guards would it take to kill Geralt, really? I don't know how many are in the palace, but I don't know if there are enough. One lowly guard is about as much threat as a drowner, Geralt reguarly fights a dozen of those at a time.

@@BigUriel in the game sure. With in game mechanics. But considering how strong actual guards would be compared to a Witcher. Having 15 or more jump geralt would Sven with casualties surely kill him. And if need be he would deploy more.

Yeah I get what you mean. I personally think he looks fine, its just the epic voice that he misses. If im honest the show does a lot of injustice to the world anyway. My god only finnaly now have they started fixing the armors. I fucking hated the scrotum armor nilfgaard had. But still it looks like some MMORPG armor they all wear. what was so nice about the witcher was that it was low fantasy and high fantasy at the same time since the witcher world and ours share the same humans, one of them just wound up in a different world. therefore things looks and feel like our world a bit

Awesome game btw. Moved on to dragon quest elusive age. This game also is proving to be really good!

Besides, even if Geralt snapped and slew him Emhyr knows full well that he would not make it out of there alive. Even on the off chance he did he would be hunted for the rest of his life.

@@flashback0180 Putting aside game mechanics, in lore it's not that easy for Geralt to make it out alive. Remember that in the books Geralt was killed by a mob of peasants; what do you think a battalion of Nilfgaard's finest royal guards would do to Geralt? Besides, even if Yen was able to teleport herself and Geralt to safety, there's no way the largest empire in the world would have let it slide. They would be hunted by assassins and spies for the rest of their lives, and with Emyhr dead, there's nobody important and rich left that cares about Ciri, and Geralt's importance to Nilfgaard would be over. Geralt isn't just a brute, he's smart and knows that he needs Emhyr as much as Emhyr needs him. But that doesn't stop his hate for Emhyr and how far he can push him before he snaps back.

Guess you've never watched movies that were based on real stories and easily 50% of the movie ends up being made up and just the idea of it was inspired by the real story.
